Stepping Into His Peace

So the day is up and running full tilt ahead and it’s left you stumbling in your tracks. Some of us aren’t sure if we’re in high gear or slow motion but somehow we just go with the flow and hope for the best because life does throw it’s challenges at us left right and center. Challenges so daunting that we scarcely know our own heart in the issues that continually left-hook us. David knew all too well the difficulties in life and Psalm 62 expresses confidence in the king and offers prayers for him. King David rests in his God despite powerful adversaries that push hard against him and still he remains undaunted. Yeah, he encourages himself and his people to see their human adversaries from God’s perspective ~ frail, fleeting and deceptive.
In 62: 3, 4 David’s enemies desire to take him down with cunning lies, yet, In spite of it all our Psalmist, King David, in Psalm 62: 5 -8 encourages himself and others to trust God and place their hope in Him.

Beautiful soul, when life throws it’s left hooks into the circle of your world, and hope fades, say boldy with King David in verse 5, “Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken. My victory and honor come from God alone. He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me.

Yes you, beautiful one, so tattered and wearied from stumbling in the pathway, Rest, just rest in God and wait quietly on Him. Step into His sweet peace and let Him carry you over the hurdles! After all, when He is on our side, who can be against us?
