Under A Million Stars

Some days it’s ok to not be perfect. Some times it’s ok to just grab a cup of tea or a second cup of coffee and curl up with a blanket and some happy thoughts and just know you’re in safe keeping under a God that loves you unconditionally under the light of a billion stars and in the glory light of the Cross! Oh yes, and it doesn’t matter your situation, He’s got that too! He knew way before you and He’s loving you through it and carrying you over it. So yeah, beautiful one, some days it’s just fine to be an imperfect soul basking in His grace, knowing His favor and resting in His safe keeping.

You ~ Beautiful And Lovely Even Still

Ahh, that unconditional love that God gives is a blessing isn’t it? Aren’t you so thankful for it on the days when you feel you’ve missed the mark and it really doesn’t matter what others think anyway, it’s really about how God sees you! Even though you feel tossed, wrecked and blown about in the winds of chaotic guilt storms ~ God sees you beautiful and lovely. Yes He does! He overlooks the mark we missed and covers us with ~ a miraculous and precious mercy so sweetened with amazing grace and forgiveness yet again! Why are we so reluctant to accept it? It’s always there to meet us and cover us even in our most down of down moments. It’s always there for the worries that took over, the doubts that crept in, the fear filled moments where faith didn’t surface ~ no ~ not even for a second, and where temptation was stronger than our self -discipline.

There are so many subtleties the enemy uses to set us up, catching us in the trap of guilt ~ making us believe the lie that we’re not good enough for any good at all~ especially for any good things that God has to offer. Yet, that’s exactly what God had in mind for His created people with His plan of salvation wrapped in awesome, unconditional love. Christ, The cross, the shed blood, the grave, the resurrection and the victory over death. It’s what He came for and It’s yours! It’s mine! It’s ours for the asking and receiving of it. Look to the cross ~ That scandalous event of Christ’s blood shed was for our salvation for this journey of our “now” life and “Life Everlasting” and it’s there for us, when we miss the marks along the way. Beautiful soul ~ Step into that peace!

John 3:16
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever would believe on Him should not perish but have eternal life.”

1 Corinthians 1:18
“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.”

What Kind Of Love?

Hebrews 12: 2.

“Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Hebrews 12: 1, 2.

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge cloud of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down. Especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race that God has set before us.” We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting Him, He endured the cross, disregarding it’s shame. Now He is seated in the place of honour beside God’s throne….

Jesus is our supreme example of faithful endurance and all the brutal, lonely way to the cross He proved it. Not that He had to prove it, but rather it gave Him joy to die for the sinner’s hope of forgiveness, salvation and eternal life.

What kind of love is that? What kind of love endures the hard, lonely, struggle and scorns the shame of it? Only one who has his eyes fixed on His heavenly Father and His will. Christ did it for us, let’s run our own personal race for Him. Let’s face our brutal, lonely challenges for His glory. Life gets tough and quickly weighs us down. If we focus on the problem, we’ll quickly lose heart, fall from the race and succumb to the struggle, but if we focus on the Lord, we’ll find renewed strength. He blesses the life of faith in the believer, so let faith arise! Throw off the doubt, fear, worry, failures, discouragement and strongholds so that you can run freely and smoothly, without entanglement, with your eyes focused clearly on Christ, who runs beside you or carries you but also sits today at the right hand of the throne of God, interceding for you and praying for your endurance to make it to the finish line. You can do it with Him! Focus, focus, focus!

Doing This Day With God

DSC_0012

So we need to do this day with God ~ You and I. Yeah, even when it’s a tough one. So even when it seems difficult to move forward because of so much stuff behind and before that hinders the journey, remember Paul’s words in Philippians 3: 13, ” Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.…”

Oh we aren’t there yet, but we have a heavenly goal through this earthly journey of hard places and as Christ ones we press on through the hard and the difficult towards the mark and the prize of our heavenly home and eternity with our heavenly Father, the creator and sustainer of this world and us. He’s our reason for getting through this day and the next and the next and the next. So when you feel anxious, afraid, lost, let down, remorseful, hopeless, and just plain overwhelmed, you can know that you know, that God has you and your stuff in the palm of His nail scarred hands and His faithfulness won’t let you go not even for a second. If He’s brought you to it, He’ll bring you through it. Every sweet minute of your life, every difficult decision, Every bump in the road, and every twist in the turn ~ He has ~ and he holds close and He graces with His sweet love, so compassionate, so unconditional and so merciful! Our part is to release the weight of the stuff into His tender care and move ahead freely in the name of Jesus, the winner and the victorious One
