T’was The Night Before Advent

‘Twas the first day of Advent, though COVID was near,
And the people were scattered, some trembling in fear.
For COVID unravelled their plans and their schemes,
Had stolen their hopes and had taken their dreams.

COVID came calling, unwelcomed for sure
And shut down the world, until there was a cure.
It called all the shots and shut up and shut down
Leaving lonely, and isolate throughout all the town.

Ahh, but one thing we know even COVID can’t take,
Is the joy in our hearts that our Saviour can make!
It’s a Joy and a Peace and a Love, sure to bless
With the birth of the babe, whom we now can address.

He’s our Saviour, who came for a world that was lost
Not to COVID, but sin, and He counted the cost.
First the manger, the cross, His death and the grave,
Then His glorious rising and our sin He forgave!

This COVID can’t threaten, this Saviour we know
Can’t keep Him from coming to lighten the load
He brings rest for the weary and hope for the soul,
Shalom for the broken, with a heavenly goal.

Love born in the stable, that night long ago,
Is our Saviour, Sustainer, Protector from foe.
He’s our Light on the pathway, the wind in our sail
When He’s our celebration this COVID will pale!

Always Hope

Today the candle of Hope lights this cold, frazzled earth and reminds us of God’s special gift to us and to a broken, crushed and fearful world! A world so desperate for its stability and thing is,His Hope keeps on giving as we keep on growing in trust, with hopeful hearts in our Lord and Saviour. Finding soul hope in our Lord at this Advent season helps to build precious hope in the hearts and minds of others. This sweet and sustainable gift is contagious and powerful and we dare not ever let it go

So, In these crazy days of COVID and advent celebration, share that precious hope that you’ve found in our Saviour, and touch lives everywhere because all lives matter this Advent season and always

Isaiah 40: 31 … “but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

The Star Of The Season

A Star Is Born on that glorious night

With so much going on in these minds of ours, let’s regroup and reset for the Advent season! Let’s reset for the season that rejoices in the birth of a divine, heavenly, baby born into an earth world for a huge purpose!

Advent? it’s all about Him ~ The Christ Child, the Star of the season! His royalty, His divinity, His part man, part God side, who left the portals of Heaven to become flesh! Born to walk among us, feel the dusty earth beneath His feet, the hurt of rejection, the pain of sin, and the sting of death.

Take time to ponder His life as He lived it out in real-time, in real-life for us. You and I and we and us. Yeah, forget the heaps of stuff on your plate and ponder Him, the Christ One. The divine baby, born in a harsh manger, in cold stable, to become the Christ Child; a man so human, yet so divine.  The One born to walk among us, to become the Savior of the World.  Our Savior!  Our Lord! Oh how beautiful He is to us not just at this season but all year, through the year! At Advent season let’s reset our thinking patterns, our mind-sets and our goals, and our purpose to focus on the Reason for our celebrations. Today just embrace His grace! Rest in Him! Rejoice in His mercy! Rejoice in His power to save the one horrendous world that we find ourselves living in. Today ~ Rejoice in His unconditional love for the hurting and the fleeing! The lost and the ruined. The loved and the unlovely and the ones so desperately in need of Him and His tender touch!

So sit back beautiful soul and search your heart with a “Time out” to reflect on God’s goodness as another beautiful Advent season is about to unfold and remember where He brought you from and the golden threads He’s woven through your life to bring you to where you are today.

So now, yeah just go ahead, get our your family traditions packed in boxes and your fine ornaments to grace the home with merry thoughts of Christmas and family and friends! Go for it! I love this time of year don’t you? Dig out the recipes for sweet treats and cookie exchange and bake up a storm because a fine celebration is about to begin! An awesome celebration ~ so rich and sweet with festivities going so much deeper than decor and sweets and lights and gifts! It’s a heavenly celebration of salvation that goes beyond the tinsel and tree lights and reaches to the Light Of the World, the Star of Bethlehem, the Star of the season, the Christ, The King of Heaven ~ Our Lord who resides and lives in the life He’s given us ~ and keeps giving and giving and giving!

So before you begin the scurrying and hustle bustle to make it all perfect and just right, “Reset” ~ grab a cup of tea, light a candle ~ you, yourself and you and follow the amazing Star of Bethlehem, to the stable and the divine Baby born in the manger!

The Savior of the world! Our Savior! The Star of this glorious season!

Prince Of Peace

So, here we are a week before Advent celebration begins and there you are in your journey of anything but peace today! Well, know this for real!  Know for real, that a child was born to be called The Prince Of Peace! To bring peace into the hearts of those who would make room for Him in their concerns, in their hearts, in their lives, in their issues, in their disappointments, in their mourning, in their rejections, in their failures, in their bitterness and in all the things that just so desperately need quieting at this Advent season. He’s the Wonderful Counselor, who conforms to God’s wisdom and can advise like no other one of wisdom can. He’s the Mighty God affirming His divine nature and supernatural power is close by and within our reach and within our next breath. Call on Him. He’s the Everlasting Father, faithful throughout all generations, from the manger to the cross and into the heavens and right back into the heart and soul of those who love Him. He loves to the moon and back and all the places in between, regardless of who you are and what you’ve done. His love is unconditional. He won’t leave nor forsake, for His name is Everlasting Father. Yeah, so….He came in Peace but the world rejected Him. Go figure! Hearts today still do. Go figure! To reject Him is to reject His Peace so needed for this journey of anything but peace.

Prepare the way for our Peace Giver this Advent season and open the door! Let Him in! Let Him reign! Let Him usher in the Peace that He’s all about. ❤ Advent season? It’s all about Him and His gifts to us.
