Resting In The Promises

So it’s ok to just rest now. Rest in the promise of God’s peace. Rest your tired self, your broken heart, your sadness, your disappointment, your grief, your fear, your insecurity, and just rest all the other stuff that runs frantically to win the race in your mind. So much! Too much!

Yeah, but you can just rest in that precious promise of safety from our Lord because whatever it is that binds your mind with worry can be calmed by the Peace speaker. The Psalmist knew there was safety in His presence and he could sleep calmly and unafraid in peace, under God’s protection. So can we, regardless of what’s swirls around our heads, we can rest in the sweet assurance that we are safe in His keeping and that nothing can interfere with His plan. ❤

Shalom

Shalom and PEACE to you today!

Not only does our Saviour’s birth bring Hope, but His birth and very presence usher in a peace that passes all understanding! It’s a peace that transcends a fear of “What’s next?”, or the dreadful fear of ‘What’s going on?” It’s a perfect peace that the world can’t give and the world can’t take away no matter what this old world brings to our table. So yeah, really as serious as COVID is and as controversial as the vaccine is, and as many varied opinions as there are out there, they pale in comparison to the Peace that our Saviour offers to the very soul of us in our deepest distress. Because it’s all ok anyway isn’t it? If we know this one born to deliver the world from its sin, we know we’re in good hands in His safekeeping and as His divine prophetic plan unfolds before our eyes, it surpasses any crazy plan the world and its top leaders have in store for us. It’s a generous gifting from our Lord to us. Yeah, Jesus, Our Prince of Peace, came to share it with us and His sweet peace is not as the world gives but rather a sense of well-being welling up within ourselves. A peace that comes from our willingness to change and repent and do a turn about of direction. To walk with Him in His way of salvation and in His ways of abundance. It comes from simple trust in our Prince of Peace, the sweet Savior of the broken and hurting and those beaten and scarred and torn up by sin’s choices.

” Shalom” may His favour rest on you today as you seek Him and find healing in Him for such a time as this.“The LORD bless you, and keep you; The LORD make His face shine on you, And be gracious to you; The LORD lift up His countenance on you, And give you peace!

”Numbers 6:23-26

T’was The Night Before Advent

‘Twas the first day of Advent, though COVID was near,
And the people were scattered, some trembling in fear.
For COVID unravelled their plans and their schemes,
Had stolen their hopes and had taken their dreams.

COVID came calling, unwelcomed for sure
And shut down the world, until there was a cure.
It called all the shots and shut up and shut down
Leaving lonely, and isolate throughout all the town.

Ahh, but one thing we know even COVID can’t take,
Is the joy in our hearts that our Saviour can make!
It’s a Joy and a Peace and a Love, sure to bless
With the birth of the babe, whom we now can address.

He’s our Saviour, who came for a world that was lost
Not to COVID, but sin, and He counted the cost.
First the manger, the cross, His death and the grave,
Then His glorious rising and our sin He forgave!

This COVID can’t threaten, this Saviour we know
Can’t keep Him from coming to lighten the load
He brings rest for the weary and hope for the soul,
Shalom for the broken, with a heavenly goal.

Love born in the stable, that night long ago,
Is our Saviour, Sustainer, Protector from foe.
He’s our Light on the pathway, the wind in our sail
When He’s our celebration this COVID will pale!

Always Hope

Today the candle of Hope lights this cold, frazzled earth and reminds us of God’s special gift to us and to a broken, crushed and fearful world! A world so desperate for its stability and thing is,His Hope keeps on giving as we keep on growing in trust, with hopeful hearts in our Lord and Saviour. Finding soul hope in our Lord at this Advent season helps to build precious hope in the hearts and minds of others. This sweet and sustainable gift is contagious and powerful and we dare not ever let it go

So, In these crazy days of COVID and advent celebration, share that precious hope that you’ve found in our Saviour, and touch lives everywhere because all lives matter this Advent season and always

Isaiah 40: 31 … “but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
