You ~ Beautiful And Lovely Even Still

Ahh, that unconditional love that God gives is a blessing isn’t it? Aren’t you so thankful for it on the days when you feel you’ve missed the mark and it really doesn’t matter what others think anyway, it’s really about how God sees you! Even though you feel tossed, wrecked and blown about in the winds of chaotic guilt storms ~ God sees you beautiful and lovely. Yes He does! He overlooks the mark we missed and covers us with ~ a miraculous and precious mercy so sweetened with amazing grace and forgiveness yet again! Why are we so reluctant to accept it? It’s always there to meet us and cover us even in our most down of down moments. It’s always there for the worries that took over, the doubts that crept in, the fear filled moments where faith didn’t surface ~ no ~ not even for a second, and where temptation was stronger than our self -discipline.

There are so many subtleties the enemy uses to set us up, catching us in the trap of guilt ~ making us believe the lie that we’re not good enough for any good at all~ especially for any good things that God has to offer. Yet, that’s exactly what God had in mind for His created people with His plan of salvation wrapped in awesome, unconditional love. Christ, The cross, the shed blood, the grave, the resurrection and the victory over death. It’s what He came for and It’s yours! It’s mine! It’s ours for the asking and receiving of it. Look to the cross ~ That scandalous event of Christ’s blood shed was for our salvation for this journey of our “now” life and “Life Everlasting” and it’s there for us, when we miss the marks along the way. Beautiful soul ~ Step into that peace!

John 3:16
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever would believe on Him should not perish but have eternal life.”

1 Corinthians 1:18
“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.”

Dark Exposure

Little Thoughts For Big Days
Little Thoughts For Big Days

Denying the Ashley Madison hack-job certainly won’t cover it up and it certainly won’t fix it. Somehow we hush, hush over it in order to downplay it’s reality hoping it disappears without causing an outbreak of family rivalries in a world already teetering on the abyss of self-destruction. But it won’t go away and the deep-rooted hurt won’t dissipate, ‘cuz sin doesn’t go away ~ not easily! Not ever!

It hacked it’s ugly way into our world ~ our perfect, God-breathed Garden Of Eden, in the beginning of time and sin ‘s been kicking’ around ever since. It’s managed by the enemy himself as it robs, ruins and brings about death to it victims and is relentless in it’s subtle and sometimes blatant attacks. Take a look around and see for yourself what it’s doing in the lives of those whose names were leaked out from a so called secure, dark web site. See what it does to it’s guilty and willing victims and to the innocent victims left to pick up the pieces. Just say it, ‘Sin ruins and destroys’ ~ let’s call it what it is and know that it will always be brought out in the open somewhere, sometime, and some place! A genuinely, repentant heart can find mercy through God’s endless, and rich unconditional love, and a grace seeker can find grace to help in time of need, but family members and broken hearts find it difficult to forgive and make a comeback from it’s fangs of poison devastation. Yeah, it’s for sure a long, tough journey after sin infiltrates and surfaces breaking trust and altering reputations. There is nothing on the planet that can heal and mend the hearts broken through such tragic events because consequences always follow bad choices and although a ‘sorry’ might ease the pain a bit, it will never regain the broken and lost reputation, at least not quickly.

So ~ beautiful soul, and you are beautiful, remember it! The dark side is just that ~ very dark ~ very bleak and when given the chance it will bring you down to your lowest moment. There is hope after failure and The Psalmist knew it! He knew too, how easy it was to fall into temptation and in Psalm 19: 12 offered a prayer to his God, your God, our God,
“Forgive my hidden faults. Keep your servant from wilful sins; may they not rule over me. Then will I be blameless, innocent of great transgression…May the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be pleasing in Your sight, Oh Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.”

John 1: 5 “This is the message we have heard from Him and declare to you: God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all.”
Life in the dark is no life at all. God’s forgiveness will light your soul and brighten your step and bring peace amidst chaotic conditions.

Your Present Moment

Little Thoughts For Big Days
Little Thoughts For Big Days

Our omnipresent God dwells everywhere at all times but He dwells in our present moment and the key to knowing God’s “Perfect Peace” is to live in that present moment with Him, trusting His goodness for right now, this minute. To trust that God is good, and that all He does is good for you right now!!! Although He had a plan, even in our past, He doesn’t dwell there and nor should we.  If we let our minds carry us back to that place of reruns, we tend to focus on negatives with its pain, failure, fear and discouragement.  It’s a place of bondage and there’s no freedom there! It’s where we live if we harbor an unforgiving spirit ~ “in the past”, replaying the same old offense, and the same old hurt, over and over and over again. We won’t find God’s peace there in that bitter place because bitterness and anger bring about despair and a feelings of resentment, hopelessness and ruin.  There’s no peace present there.

Yeah ~ we can savor its warm memories of good times and glean a few valuable nuggets of wisdom from past experiences and God desires that, but then His call on our lives is to move on with Him one step at a time into His new graces, mercies and faithfulness. We can trust God and experience His perfect peace in our present moment, but if our thoughts wander with fearful imaginations and worry into the future~ well, there’s no peace there either. A fearful imagination full of anxiety and worry, doesn’t see an omnipresent, all-powerful, all sovereign God and His peace is absent from the mind, the heart and that precious soul of yours in the anxious moments. Trust and fear, peace and bitterness ~ well, they can’t dwell together. They mix like oil and water ~ they don’t mix at all!

So ~ beautiful soul, live for now, for this sweet and precious moment of life! Breathe in the grace of the moment, even if it involves pain, sorrow or difficulty. Friend, if He holds the song sparrow in its delicate flight, He’s got you and He holds you when you rise and when you fall. You never slip too far for grace to find you! When the mind is steadfast on Christ, His peace will embrace you and fill you ~ His grace will catch you, sustain you and carry you because He is good and He is just and you can trust Him for that.  That’s what He does!  I love how He does it.
