For the things that you don’t understand, don’t try to! For some things you may never know the “Why” or the “What For?”

One thing you can know is, that as a believer, the Sovereign One who is in control is with you, walking beside you, perhaps carrying you over the rough spots. He can speak ‘Peace’ into the eye of your storm, calm the wind and still the tide if you ask Him in childlike faith. Seek His council and hear His advice. Walk on faithfully in complete trust and know that He cares.

Mark 4: 38-40
“Jesus Himself was in the stern, asleep on the cushion; and they woke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?” And He got up and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Hush, be still.” And the wind died down and it became perfectly calm. Are you overcome by fear? It paralyzes it’s victims rendering them useless and powerless. God does not promote it! When it’s present, His peace is not. God in His sovereignty simply desires our trust in all things and our acceptance of all things. When we truly trust Him peace follows and a sound mind makes us strong in Christ. Relinquish your fear and find strength to face the moments. God knows what He doing. You can trust Him.

God’s Sweet Grace
There’s something very sweet about God’s grace. It graces you with forgiveness for your past. His mercy is available and ready to meet you where you are and His grace is ready to forget what you’ve done and allow you to move forward. Simply ask Him to free you from the sin of the past and the haunting guilt that keeps you from scaling new heights. God’s got you covered and He delights in helping you find your way. It doesn’t mean we won’t pay some consequences but He’s faithful to weave golden threads through them and make them beautiful after all. That’s what He does! I love how He does it.

I John 1:9
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

God’s Work Of Grace

So wild and rough around the edges this coyote looks scruffy, unkept and uncared for, because he is. Not unlike us as we try to make ends meet and keep our heads above water out in the real world ~ the tough world ~ the dog eat dog world. It can take it’s toll on us. God can clean us up and soften the edges but don’t expect it to happen overnight. That wild side, the searching side of us that tries so hard to make it work has to dissipate and it may take some time. Don’t expect too much too soon from new believers! Allow them to live with God for a while as He does His work of grace in them.

John 15:1-27
“I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. So you need help with that? God is the best advisor for success and failure. Make Him your default “Go To” mentor for advice and allow Him to work it out for you! If He made Heaven and earth what can He not do for you?

There’s an awesome power in the Cross of Christ!! Look to it today and know that even though He died there and was buried, He didn’t stay in the grave. He defeated death with His resurrection and in so doing He brings us life today through His salvation plan. Hey you, there is hope in this ruined world ~ this less than perfect life! Life in Christ is abundant living and even in death, eternal life. With Christ, even our losses become wins. If you’ve just lost something, keep the faith! Keep persevering just as you have been! Don’t give up, not even for a moment. Live in the awesome Hope that the Cross of Christ ~ His death and resurrection have made possible! You are victorious! You win!

I love how Peter rose up after his failure and denial of Christ. Where Judas fell under the weight of his guilt and ended his life in remorse, Peter went on with Christ, with sins forgiven and preached 50 days later. Peter chose life after his failure, where Judas chose death out of remorse. We have the option to do the same. Christ’s resurrection power dwells in us and His forgiveness empowers us keep shining even after a fall. There is new life after a failure and if you’ve walked with God through it, it will be a stronger, more resilient life than it was before”

It’s Easter Sunday today and we serve a Risen Lord ~ so today and everyday let’s “Celebrate this joyous occasion of our risen Lord and Savior. No one could destroy Him! The grave couldn’t hold Him! Death could not defeat Him! The Truth has been revealed and we are eternally grateful!

Matthew 28:6
“He is not here; he has risen, just as He said…..”

In 1 Samuel 17: 45 ~ we read David’s words to Goliath, “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the LORD Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.”

Do you have a Goliath today? Something bigger than you are? Something overpowering, overwhelming? Something that’s way beyond your understanding or your capabilities to conquer? Perhaps Davids’ words are the way to begin your battle with the enemy!

When the night is dark and the storm is wild, focus on Christ, The Light of The World ~ the One who whispers “Peace Be Still.” The One who speaks peace into the eye of the storm and hushes the wind and stills the rolling waters.

Faith is a strength, which allows us to keep going, even when the circumstances don’t measure up, the promises seem forgotten and we feel we can’t continue. It’s a deep inner hope within the soul that says God is in control regardless of discouraging setbacks and when it’s all said and done all that God said will be done. Trust Him..He doesn’t give up!

The church is filled with unbelieving believers. We say we believe but when it comes to the big stuff we falter. We confine God to a box and tend to think “It can’t happen,” or it can’t work out. Is God the God we say He is or isn’t He? Is He the ‘creator’ God, the ‘sustainer’ God, the ‘provider’ God, the ‘promise keeper’, and the ‘Ancient Of Days?’ Is the ‘God of Victory’, the ‘God of Salvation’ and ‘Hope’ and the ‘righteous judge?’ Do we believe it? If we do, let’s release Him from the box we’ve confined Him to and allow Him to do His miracles in our lives and in the lives of those we love.

Not one of them has failed. Remain faithful and stay the course! His plan still prevails and with all authority will be fulfilled! Beautiful soul ~ Our failures aren’t failures in God’s eyes. He allows things into our lives to shape us and mold us so He can take us where He wants us! Some things happen as consequences of bad choices that we’ve made, but be assured God allowed it and it’s still God’s plan to use it to bring us into spiritual maturity. We can follow Him and grow or we can go our own way and reach the pit at the bottom of life!

The enemy does his best work through words of discouragement. Be alert to them and be on guard when they come. He uses condescending remarks by others and low blows to hit you in your weakest spot and at your lowest point. Make sure to get enough rest because these comments hit the hardest when tiredness sets in. Above all put on the spiritual armor before facing the day. The spiritual battle rages and powerful but invisible principalities and powers invade our space even without our knowledge. Send them running by Staying focused on the goodness of God and His greatness. He IS the victor and He HAS won the battle for you!!!! Claim it and walk on in His peace and assurance.
Let the remarks fall by the wayside but do not allow them a place in your heart or mind!

In looking back do you see places of struggle that at the time seemed like a maze of chaos and yet in hind sight now, you know God’s hand was orchestrating every detail without your knowledge. It all fell into place and worked together perfectly in spite of knots and gnarls that seemed so obvious to you? He’s working the same way now, through the confusion of your hopeless situation. He knows the perfect timing of your life’s moments and just what needs to happen when, in order to get you through this. So hang on tight! Trust His lead and soon hind sight will once again reveal God’s brilliant skill and His unending faithfulness in working things out.

God’s workings sometimes seem so difficult and problematic, but hindsight puts them into proper perspective: Awesome and amazing, with impeccable perfection and timing. Have you been there? Like “Wow! I hadn’t thought of that!” Looking back, What looked bad, was really good! What looked like a set back was really a blessing! What appeared to be a huge bump in the road was a really a victory to be won! What looked like disaster was a catalyst for maturity and progression! When it looked like all was lost, real, abundant, life had just begun! Our finite, human minds have it so wrong sometimes and we undermine His ways with our worry and our “Take Charge” ambitions. When the difficulties rise, let the trust in our Sovereign God become stronger still.

God’s promises are sure so don’t ever give up even when it looks bleak and like all hope is gone. He’s the master designer and creator of the world and all that’s in it. His thoughts are far above ours and His ways far beyond our understanding. In His economy 5 steps back just might prove to be 10 steps ahead. Difficult to understand I know, but remember His ways are so far above us.

Don’t worry about what you don’t understand. Just know that God knows all about it and He’s for you not against you. He will defeat the enemy
if we enter into His peace! It’s His promise to us…I want to claim it don’t you?

Rise n’ Shine! It’s a new day dawning! You may not feel like you have it altogether after the Christmas break. You may not feel like you want to step on in this first week of a new year. You might be too weary to begin painting another canvas ~ that of 2016. Rather, you might want to run the other direction. News for you! Your problem will beat you there. Or you could do Plan B! Dialogue with God and get out there to face the day head-on ‘cuz it’s not going anywhere! Do the difficult! Make the best of it! Heighten your awareness of goodness by finding all the tiny morsels of blessing tucked inside! Appreciate them and wear them close to your heart. Let them warm your beautiful soul and at the end of the day, sit back, relax, breathe deeply and know it was hard to do, but yeah, you did it and it was a fabulous day after all. ~ k ‪

God always has a plan! It may cramp our style just a bit and make us cringe with loose ends and upheaval but in the end it’s His will for His purpose or He just takes the enemy’s snarls and knots and blesses them for His glory, our benefit and the benefit of His Kingdom. Don’t give in to fear or a feeling of hopelessness. Stop worrying about the things that you can’t do anything about anyway. Remember the God who created the world and all things in it with a mere word, can easily manage your biggest concern. Give it over and let Him use His creative skills with you in mind.

Difficulties and tough situations can help us grow up and become mature in Christ. God may remove them or part the Red Sea to lead us out but He might not! Daniel had to “experience” the lion’s den, in order to see God’s power of deliverance first hand. With Daniel’s trust and confidence in God’s will and with God’s hand of protection on his life, he emerged unscathed. If God allows tough times, He has a purpose. It may be “hand’s on” training to equip us for spiritual warfare in the ministry He’s prepared for us. If we move with Him, we’ll become stronger….If we rebel, we’ll self destruct! ~ k

I love God’s brilliant recycling program. It never ceases to amaze me how He laces His amazing grace and awesome creativity in, under, around & through the failures, bad choices and burned bridges of our lives and even in the miserable consequences of the choices we’ve made, He comes through with His amazing grace and fashions something beautiful that we might have missed otherwise. That’s what He does! I love how He does it.

Just because you don’t see dramatic changes be thankful for progress of any kind. It may not be as much as you’d like to see , but quality change or progress is slow and steady, developing a good foundation on which to build and mature. Christ spoke peace into the eye of the storm that the disciples found themselves right in the middle of. With His word the winds died and the waves calmed. Their fears subsided. What’s your storm and are you asking Him to speak His peace into the eye of it ~ The center of it? He will and when He does the winds will die, the waves will calm and the fears will subside. Listen for His words and enter into His peace. He’s the same today, for us, as He was for the disciples back then. ~k

Life throws some pretty, hard knocks, and left curves at us sometimes. Deep, intense hurt can make us bitter, angry and warped in our judgment. Hurt opens us up to a vulnerable state, where quick, momentary choices for happiness only invite further disaster! When overwhelming disappointments disappoint, seek God’s council before making rash decisions! Remember disappointments are His appointments for good reason. Tread carefully and seek His wisdom! Seek His righteousness! Allow healing to soften your heart and bring peace, and watch all the good things God has for you fall into place.

Don’t underestimate it! The size of a grain of mustard seed is all that we need to get help with that! That’s not a lot but it’s just enough. James tells us in James 5: 16, “The effectual, fervent prayers of a righteous man availeth much!” So pray for one another without ceasing, never underestimating the power that lies hidden there in those prayers of your heart! …Pray like you believe! Pray like you’ll receive and sit back and watch even the little things fall into place!
