He’ll Take It From Here

Little Thoughts For Big Days
Little Thoughts For Big Days

Embrace God’s love today and don’t throw in the towel because discouragement has it’s hold on you. Hope lies tucked away in those forlorn and lonely places and discouragements in God’s economy are merely growth elements to test your faith, grow your faith and catapult the real you into faithfulness and perseverance! They take you from phony to real! God sees you and He knows your issues more than you do. He’s the mastermind behind the solution but He is not a pie in the sky Santa Claus who dispenses everything we desire just because we desire it. His work goes deeper than that. He wants you! He wants us as empty as we are ~ as disappointed as we are ~ and yes, as discouraged as we are. If discouragement has you emptied of yourself, it’s all good ~ you’re in the right place where God can pick you up and move you forward. The answer lies over the horizon so don’t stop now! It not a key for us to lock the doors of opportunity and challenge and walk away consumed with a selfish”Woe is me”attitude.  Not at all!  We have to realize it is the enemy’s subtle device for slamming those doors in our faces though, leaving us feeling hurt, angry and bitter and ready to give up.   Ahh ~ those disappointments they come in all sizes and shapes and from all sides but don’t give in to them ~ Give them to a God who knows the end from the beginning and desires the best for everyone involved. He’ll work them out “for” you as He does a work “in” you, but it won’t be an overnight fix or a quick band-aid to merely make you feel better! His divine, healing ointment of grace, mercy, and unconditional love will spill out and fall over the hurts and saturate your soul with Hope. Let Him take it from here …

Romans 5: 3, 5

“Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope,  and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.”

Mundane Monday

Little Thoughts For Big Days
Little Thoughts For Big Days

So on a mundane Monday where to begin sweet people? Cheer Up! There are beautiful things in store and a thankful heart is a great start to the day ~ so through it all; the hurt, the pain, the worry, the frustration of just life ~ take a minute to be grateful. Grateful for the breath that you just took, and the presence of mind to know that you hurt and for those good things that you have that can frustrate you and cause worry to surface. Those worries are things you really care about aren’t they? So let selfishness go and be glad for them! We really have a lot if we look at the good side of our pain and cultivate hope in our despair. It’s Monday, a new day ~ a new week ~ a clean slate, so fill up the empty tank with thankfulness and run the race with joy in your heart. God promises to meet you and fill you and give you peace. Run with Him and for Him, not against Him! After it’s all said and done mundane Monday hind sight o might not be so bad after all.

Just Resting Today

Little Thoughts For Big Days
Little Thoughts For Big Days

So all you need to do today is rest in God’s promises! Just rest and bask in His presence! Let His words fall over you like the refreshing rains fall from the heavens. Let His grace words and sweet promises water your busy soul and refresh your mind from the hundreds of things that stalk it relentlessly. He cares ~ you know it so gather peace from our Heavenly Father’s hand of mercy and grace and smile ~ cuz He’s got you. Smile ~ cuz He wants more than anything to give you the desires of your heart and soul. Ask His direction and wait on Him today. There’s no rush and no hurry to get it done! Whatever He requires of you, He will give the time the energy, the presence of mind, the skill and the strength to pull it off. Right now, trust Him for that ~ that’s all. Right now just sweet trust in His perfect ability.

Take Time To Smell The Roses

Little Thoughts For Big Days
Little Thoughts For Big Days

It is an absolutely, wonderfully mild day and soooo “spring – like” day that I can’t believe it’s the same weather gracing our outdoors! 🙂 The sun peeks through the clouds on occasion to dot sun splotches in mud puddles from the rains of days gone by and to cast hints of cheery brightness here and there on our green earth. Yes, spring is in the air and did I say I was delighted?

So yes, just take time to enjoy life today ~ to stop and smell the roses today and in spite of the struggles that have you caught in their cross fire, catch the sweet, fragrance of the delicate rose! Yes,enjoy the roses but  they come with thorns, so be careful. The sharp prickles are a natural element of their creation and are there to remind us to be gentle and thoughtful in our choices along the way or we can be easily hurt by the beauty of things. Things that look amazing and wonderful can sometimes put stars in our eyes, blinding us from the truth! They entice yet end up stinging and luring us into webs of deceit and bondage where freedom to choose isn’t an easy option, and a way out becomes difficult as we sink lower into our own selfishness and the downward spiral. So yes, enjoy God’s beautiful creation and catch the fragrance of the rose but take care and be ever so mindful of the thorns today.

Genesis 3:6
“When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.”

James 1:14
“Temptation comes from our own desires, which entice us and drag us away.”
