Your Story?

DSC_1429
So how’s your story shaped up this week? You knew it was coming and sort of dreaded the unknowns of what you knew would happen. It’s okay isn’t it? It came and it went and you’re still here in real time and in real life and you have so much to be thankful for. You’re Still in one piece although there were moments you wondered about! Good for you! It wasn’t you though it was just that awesome grace that God gives so generously to His creation and created things. Yeah, He graced us this week and led us through those unknowns. It wasn’t a problem for Him. He knew the unknowns in the path and managed them ahead of us. That’s just what He does. I love how He does it?

It’s those unknowns isn’t it? Those little things that catch in the apprehensive corners of our minds and take us off guard. They send us reeling off track and out of control when our fears get hung up on mistrust and doubt leading us into anxieties that should never arise. There’s so much happening in the world and so much crazy happening in our world with stuff out of our control. Anxious thoughts creep in and frazzle our hearts and minds, leaving us weak and rendering us useless. We forget that our power is not in ourselves and our control of the situation! Oh how quickly we forget, in our humanness and insecurity that it’s our sovereign God who is faithful to see us through the hard places. To grace us and make a way for us to face the day of unknowns.

In Psalm 94: 18, 19, the psalmist’s experience of slipping, contrasts with God’s promise to stand with him. “I cried out, “I am slipping!’ But your unfailing love, O Lord supported me. When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought joy to my soul.” God stands by His own and He’s so faithful all the time. He calls us to be strong and courageous even in the difficult and the unknowns of this life. His words to Joshua in 1:9, He says to us today right were we are ~

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
Trust Him beautiful soul and find peace. He won’t let you go! The battles you face, you won’t face alone. His mercies are new every morning. Let Him open them up and disperse them into the precious moments of your day. ~k

Miracles Through Complexities

So have you some things coming at you that you wish weren’t. They’re coming from all directions and it’s shaping up to be a hassled week with difficult things to face. Oh, they’re not really even that hard, but for you they are because it’s your story and your story has nooks and crannies that others might not even know nor care about. Know, this beautiful soul; God’s presence goes before you today, tomorrow and the week ahead and paves the way for your difficult moments. He’s not leaving you to face it on your own or to walk your path of distress, alone. No! Not even for a moment is He doing that. For your anxieties, He’s got peace. For the blues, He’s got Hope! For the doubts, He’s got promises! For our weaknesses, He’s got strength. For our failures He got grace and for our insecurities He’s got confidence and unconditional love that reaches to the lowest depths of our feelings to lift us into the highest heights of the heavenlies. That’s pretty awesome to thing about. So think on it today as you ponder the days ahead. He’s got it! He’s got it all; your next moment, your day, the week ahead and He might not send a burning bush or a parted Red Sea as such, but He will indeed speak over you and bless you with divine guidance if you wait on Him, and walk on faithfully. So persevere through the difficult, faithful one, and watch His mighty hand work His miracles through your complexities!

Psalm 25:4-5
“Make me know Your ways, O LORD; Teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; For You I wait all the day.”

Psalm 73:23-24
“Nevertheless I am continually with You; You have taken hold of my right hand. With Your counsel You will guide me, And afterward receive me to glory.”

Isaiah 57:15
“For thus says the high and exalted One Who lives forever, whose name is Holy, “I dwell on a high and holy place, And also with the contrite and lowly of spirit In order to revive the spirit of the lowly And to revive the heart of the contrite.”

Tough Stuff

So life has thrown some pretty tough stuff at you lately and it’s not fun and it’s not easy, but we’re not here for easy. Yeah, ‘tough” has been thrown at us all in one form or another ~ Maybe many times over but this time it’s over the top and it seems like the way out has gone south on a one way ticket and doesn’t have any inkling to return. It’s left you high and dry and fried, but not “over easy.” Easy was never promised to follow us through this journey but God has promised us joy in spite of… and even though we must walk through the hard places we can experience an unexplained joy in the midst of the tough. The same LORD who spoke words of promise to Isaiah in 43: 1,2 speaks over us today when He says..
“But now, thus says the LORD, your Creator, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel, “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine! “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you.”

So you see He knows your name and if you are His, those rough waters that threaten to pull you under and those high rivers and hot fires that threaten to drown and scorch, can’t drown nor scorch! No, beautiful soul, they can’t even touch us when we let our sovereign Lord carry us over! He sees, He knows, He cares. He’s a God of compassion, and mercy and grace and although He’s allowed some hard places, He hasn’t left you alone. What a blessed thought and a comfort of promise for the road today that you must travel. Tuck it into your heart for recall to refresh that beautiful, tired soul of yours in the early hours of the morning and in the late hours of the night. Ah yes, His grace will meet you right there and His protection will cover you and keep you when you are His and He is yours.

He’s Got This

So there might be a whole lot fear heaped up ahead on the road you travel right now and panic might be driving the motor car and it’s reeling out of chaotic control now, heading right to your doorstep. And there it sits heavy on your shoulders right in the middle of that heap of fear and it’s got you pinned underneath it’s weight and yeah, the old saying that “No news is good news” has changed because just maybe we got news and it wasn’t good after all. No news was better wasn’t it? And it’s processing in our heads and our hearts right now and it’s a difficult place with hard steps and I wonder what it is it that has caused panic and fear to emerge with such force to make you want to throw in the towel and run fast in the other direction? We can’t do it! We can’t run away! We can’t run anywhere because our story is our story and it’s us and it’s ours to deal with. So we can’t make a get-a-way except straight into the outstretched arms of Jesus and step into His peace, even right where we are! You gotta know He’s got this. Your stuff has been Father filtered and even though it’s tough, it has His stamp of approval for this moment. And even though it’s a hard place, He has it and He has your back and He has unlimited grace enough to get you through. So beautiful soul, when the brokenness is harsh and the news is bleak and the pain is unbearable, and the mind can’t focus, rest in the nail pierced hands of the Savior, the Sovereign One who knows the pain. Yeah, for sure the One who spoke peace into the vicious storms and calmed the raging waters can and will whisper peace into your life.

Mark 4: 38 – 40
“Jesus Himself was in the stern, asleep on the cushion; and they woke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?” And He got up and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Hush, be still.” And the wind died down and it became perfectly calm. And He said to them, “Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?”…

John 14: 27
“Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
