In A Fog

It’s foggy out there, isn’t it? I mean with opinions and ideas and so many questions without answers?
It’s like murky water, a little frightening, a little unnerving and we wonder what’s lurking in the unseen and the unknown.

So when we can’t see past the fog and the smog in this crazy life, what do we do? Fog’s no fun and It’s not a bad idea to sit and wait for it to lift before choosing our options, but it might take a while. The foggy places are those places where steps of faith are necessary for our survival. They might be small at first; little baby steps until we get our grounding, but the pierced hand of our Saviour reaches through the fog, ready to catch, carry and guide us through the density of perilous times.

When the fog is heavy and the confusion chaotic and overwhelming, rest quietly, take His hand and let Him lead. You might need to sit quietly for a time in order to hear His word to you, but listen to the still small voice in your ‘soul’ ~ that deep inner voice, not your heart, and not your head as those voices could lead off track! Today, for this time and this season, listen with soul ears! That conscience deep within that God uses to direct us into the proper path! To lead us in the right way into divine wisdom. To keep us from evil, from temptation! From going the wrong direction! From there faith will become stronger as we press in closer to God in the journey. So yeah, beautiful one, Don’t move out into the fog until you hear with Soul ears!

“Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”
Isaiah 30: 21

“He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way.”
Psalm 25:9

“I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them.”
Isaiah 42:16

Your Story?

DSC_1429
So how’s your story shaped up this week? You knew it was coming and sort of dreaded the unknowns of what you knew would happen. It’s okay isn’t it? It came and it went and you’re still here in real time and in real life and you have so much to be thankful for. You’re Still in one piece although there were moments you wondered about! Good for you! It wasn’t you though it was just that awesome grace that God gives so generously to His creation and created things. Yeah, He graced us this week and led us through those unknowns. It wasn’t a problem for Him. He knew the unknowns in the path and managed them ahead of us. That’s just what He does. I love how He does it?

It’s those unknowns isn’t it? Those little things that catch in the apprehensive corners of our minds and take us off guard. They send us reeling off track and out of control when our fears get hung up on mistrust and doubt leading us into anxieties that should never arise. There’s so much happening in the world and so much crazy happening in our world with stuff out of our control. Anxious thoughts creep in and frazzle our hearts and minds, leaving us weak and rendering us useless. We forget that our power is not in ourselves and our control of the situation! Oh how quickly we forget, in our humanness and insecurity that it’s our sovereign God who is faithful to see us through the hard places. To grace us and make a way for us to face the day of unknowns.

In Psalm 94: 18, 19, the psalmist’s experience of slipping, contrasts with God’s promise to stand with him. “I cried out, “I am slipping!’ But your unfailing love, O Lord supported me. When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought joy to my soul.” God stands by His own and He’s so faithful all the time. He calls us to be strong and courageous even in the difficult and the unknowns of this life. His words to Joshua in 1:9, He says to us today right were we are ~

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
Trust Him beautiful soul and find peace. He won’t let you go! The battles you face, you won’t face alone. His mercies are new every morning. Let Him open them up and disperse them into the precious moments of your day. ~k
