So yeah, sometimes it just seems like all the talk about answered prayer is just sweet, fairy tale “Pie in the sky” talk that all sounds good in words but in reality it’s not reality at all. Answers don’t come and the brick wall is thick and cold. How much more? Mentally, emotionally and physically you feel spent and nothing has changed. You’ve prayed long and hard with no answers ~ only so many questions ~ Oh so many! It appears that that “Pie in the sky” spiritual talk is nothing but a mud pie!
So where does it end? Your faith is exhausted and that light at the end of the tunnel? Well, it’s gone out! Sometimes answers come so quickly and yet, other times it’s literally a full out battle ending only when disappointment crashes in on the tale end of what you thought was enough faith and belief in a God who cared.. Well ~ beautiful soul, hang in there with your faith and belief because God’s got you and when the light at the end of the tunnel dims and goes out, you can be sure He will light a lamp brighter than the candle before because that’s what He does. His mercies are new every morning and His compassion fails not ~ not even for a second! When things don’t turn out right remember, things aren’t always as they appear and even when you least expect it God is bringing details together that you know nothing of. His credentials are awesome and His mastermind brilliant. The Creator of all things has your problem and your best interest is held securely and firmly in the imprint of His nail scarred hands. You’re so right about the pie in the sky ~ it’s not reality ~ not at all, because God is so much more than a Santa Claus and life is not “happily-ever-after” fairy tale endings but amazing “God stories” and “miracle endings” are in store for those who keep the faith. So ~ chin up now, beautiful you, and face the music of another day with God’s perfect timing and perfect peace resting in your soul. He has your day, your back and your problem. He has your week from now ~ your month from now and your year from now. Wait patiently for the lamp to light!
Isaiah 42: 14a, 15, 16
“He will say ‘I have long been silent…..but now I will lead the blind Israel down a new path guiding them along an unfamiliar way. I will brighten the darkness before them and smooth out the road ahead of them. Yes, I will do these things and I will not forsake them.’ ”
“The LORD’S loving kindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. “The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I have hope in Him.”
