Little Thoughts For Big Days
I so love how the bad things in life can be so divinely rewritten into some form of beauty and something like ‘new life’ can be breathed into the ashes of bad choices or hardships along the way. Don’t you just love how our Sovereign God works the miracles behind the scenes of our chaotic lives, fashioning us, our souls and our issues and complexities into something worthwhile and redeemable? Bad choices? Yeah ~ we’ve all made them at some time or another, but God is faithful and if we turn the heaps of rubble over and relinquish them into His hands, He is so willing to literally grab the miserable mess from us and deal with it, casting it into His “Forever Gone” book. Yeah, even sometimes, He simply allows our schemes to catch up with us so that He can prevent worse things from happening. That’s just His way of proving His unconditional love for His people. You’ll never figure it out, even in all the brilliance you could muster, ‘cuz He’s a thousand miles ahead of you and me in our thinking and reasoning!
So those knee deep consequences? ~ let ’em float into His capable hands. Those worries? ~ give ’em over to the One “Ancient Of Days”, who knows the end from the beginning. Those losses? Well they just might be saving you from future heartache. Who can ever know for sure? Just keep walking through it all with Him ~ whatever the issue, the consequence, the hardship, or the deeper than deep valley and He will make a way and make it beautiful. That’s what He does. I love how He does it.

Isaiah 61: 3
To provide for those who grieve in Zion– to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor.
Romans 8:28
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
