Embrace God’s love today and don’t throw in the towel because discouragement has it’s hold on you. Hope lies tucked away in those forlorn and lonely places and discouragements in God’s economy are merely growth elements to test your faith, grow your faith and catapult the real you into faithfulness and perseverance! They take you from phony to real! God sees you and He knows your issues more than you do. He’s the mastermind behind the solution but He is not a pie in the sky Santa Claus who dispenses everything we desire just because we desire it. His work goes deeper than that. He wants you! He wants us as empty as we are ~ as disappointed as we are ~ and yes, as discouraged as we are. If discouragement has you emptied of yourself, it’s all good ~ you’re in the right place where God can pick you up and move you forward. The answer lies over the horizon so don’t stop now! It not a key for us to lock the doors of opportunity and challenge and walk away consumed with a selfish”Woe is me”attitude.  Not at all!  We have to realize it is the enemy’s subtle device for slamming those doors in our faces though, leaving us feeling hurt, angry and bitter and ready to give up.   Ahh ~ those disappointments they come in all sizes and shapes and from all sides but don’t give in to them ~ Give them to a God who knows the end from the beginning and desires the best for everyone involved. He’ll work them out “for” you as He does a work “in” you, but it won’t be an overnight fix or a quick band-aid to merely make you feel better! His divine, healing ointment of grace, mercy, and unconditional love will spill out and fall over the hurts and saturate your soul with Hope. Let Him take it from here …

So ~ what about all those prayers that you’ve prayed and it seems like no answers come? Well, beautiful souls, they are heard…every single one of them, you just can’t see the big picture yet. Do not lose heart and hope just because you can’t see beyond your humanity. His answers are in a whole different realm other than our little worlds of influence. Just wait and pray on. God doesn’t work to impress us! Contrary to popular belief, He doesn’t put together a neat and pretty little package just because we pray and then present it to us just because we desire it more than anything. No ~ His work goes deeper than surface pretty and plunges headlong into the heart/s and soul/s of the matter. All those issues that we think might be ten giant steps backward are quite possibly three God steps forward in His economy and scheme of things. He won’t waste His energy on nothingness and wrong moves. As a matter of fact, He wastes nothing. He sends it, pain and all, to His recycling program and remoulds and remakes beauty from ashes. You see, we don’t understand His perfecting, designing skills, nor will we ever! Even after we see the final outcome with our own eyes, we will not be able to piece together His plan of action. It’s too involved ~ too great ~ too out of this world and too awesome to go figure. As a matter of fact His works are so mysterious that when things look like they couldn’t get any worse, if you’ve been praying in His will, be assured that in God’s economy of things that disappointment is “in the big picture” His appointment for good things to come. Oh, if we could just be thankful for the little things and tell Him so and watch Him work through our grateful hearts. His work is not a quick fix or an overnight solution. It may take some healing time with Him, but while He’s working on it, will He find us faithful to the end?

So Christ is in the grave but only for a day, so let go of the sadness because the outcome is out of this world. In His resurrection He brought Hope to life and into life. There’s hope now for every hurt, every pain, every sadness and all the disappointments that plague you and stalk you and haunt you and hunt you down. Those things ~ heavy on your heart can now be given over to the One who defeated the biggest enemy of all time ~ death!! Because Christ defeated death, He defeated all of the nitty, gritty other stuff too ~ and you can live free from the fear of it all, and the sting of it all, because He lives and He’s got you and if you’ve got Him you don’t need to fret and stew over the big stuff. It won’t all disappear but He’ll take the weight and heal the hurt, and mend the brokenness and carry your load over the rough spots. So between Good Friday and Easter Sunday rejoice because Hope lives in the victorious risen Lord and in your downer than down days well ~ hope lies there too.

1 Corinthians 15: 54 – 58
“So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”
“Oh Death, where is your sting?
O Hades, where is your victory?”

Boldness In The Face Of Fear

In the spiritual realm a spiritual warfare is never won by cowards who hide behind fear, hurt and disappointment, or run from problems; all sure – fire ways of the enemy’s win in a spiritual battle. He wins if He can knock the Sword (The Word) out of your hand, and set you off on a “YouTurn” of running to retreat to safety! Surely in running and hiding, thoughts are on “Me, Myself and I” as we play right into the enemy’s hand! Selfish thinking is always a win/win for him and a lose/lose for us.

Be strong! Be bold and do right, even when faced with discouragement or fear. Face the giant before you! Stand up to it!! Speak God’s word over it and watch it crumble at your feet! Move on! Stand firm! Stay in God’s Word! Ask for divine direction and listen for divine solutions.
