So let’s embrace “Surrender” today. You know, you’ve been holding back and you’ve held on too tightly for too long but you know there’s a certain, sweet peace in letting it go, and in giving it over to the Sovereign God in control of it all. But you just can’t do it! You can’t let go of that control that you think you have ~ and yet deep down you know you have no control ~ no control at all! The more you try the worse it gets.

Those worries, fears, concerns, secret things that lie tucked away in the deep compartments of your soul ~ all those unforgiven moments that gnaw daily through the comfort zone of your life, chewing a hole through your heart and mind leaving you bitter and very uneasy prove you have no control over the issues. Your control has only left you feeling helpless, empty and alone. Today, surrender it ~ hold it out, and let it go with the wind! Blow it towards Heaven ~ towards God and let Him have it once and for all. He cares ~ He really does. He desires our complete and full out surrender not our half – hearted attempts of trusting Him. So for the big or the small ~ simply trust ~ give it over and exchange it for God’s peace and a sweet peace of mind.

Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

John 14:27
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

Hey heart! Just trust God for the outcome of whatever it is that has you tied in knots today. It could be relationships, finances, health, family, that next huge hurdle or that looming mountain to climb! Maybe you find yourself in the valley of lowest of lows today and to pull up those socks to get moving is just too much and takes too much effort!! Going back to bed sounds so easy and is so much easier than facing the day. Well, beautiful soul ~ Know that God has you in the palm of His hand and is working it out and even though you don’t see it or feel, just believe it and find your peace in that thought. Don’t expect too much of yourself today but try just a step forward ~ that’s all ~ just a step ~ just a small one, with your hand firmly grasping the Lord’s hand and your heart focused on His grace for you! He’ll sustain you and keep you even during the difficult moments of today, tomorrow, next week, next month, next year. Focus on Christ not your problem, not the storm, and watch for His miracles to unfold.

Philippians 4:13
“I can do all things through Christ[a] who strengthens me.”

Matthew 14: 25 – 33

“Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. 26 When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear.

But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”

“Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”

“Come,” he said.

Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”

Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”

And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. 33 Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”

So you did all you could and tried to make things right? As a matter of fact you practically turned inside out to make it right, but no one cared. No one even noticed or at least let on that they did. Why are some so impossible to deal with? So, what’s the point anyway? Why try? Well…because we must try. Just know you did the right thing by trying. We can’t control the outcome nor does God expect us to. He’ll look after it. He has custom lessons all designed just for us! He’ll manage their lives just as He’ll manage ours with all the lessons needed to teach us just what He desires to teach us. Yeah, it might be a hard road to travel, but just forgive yet one more time and float over the rough spots with acceptance. It doesn’t matter ~ it just doesn’t matter!!

Ephesians 4:32
“Be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.”

For that hopelessness, and that relentless, hounding situation that keeps discouraging you and keeps surfacing time and time again without any sign of improvement, He’s got it and He cares! He really cares! Your concern is His concern, and He’s the creator and the sustainer, so He knows just the right move at just the right time. The answer won’t come a moment too soon or a moment too late. Just know it’s true! Give your anxiety, your guilt and your mess over to Him and be saturated in your soul with His sweet peace!
