So you’ve been praying diligently for a long time and it just all seems so futile. The saying that prayer changes things is up for grabs as far as your experience takes you. At times like these, remember ~ God is faithful, and take a look back to see how He’s worked in times when it didn’t seem like He worked at all. Ahhh yes, there was that time when you couldn’t figure out how things worked out that way or why ~ or yes ~ there was that small happening that was easily passed off as co-incidence but deep down you knew it was totally God’s hand in such an unpleasant situation. Time and time again He’s proven faithful, so make sure that you don’t roll the stone of unbelief over that prayer that still awaits an answer. God creates new! Change will happen! God’s got it and if you’ve been praying He’s working and that you can know for sure. Those discouraging times are all for a purpose! Those delays, those setbacks, those postponements, those failures ~ He’s got them all in the palm of His scarred, imprinted hands and He’s workin’ ’em out. Relax and pray on!

Don’t Give Up Now

Keep On Keeping On

So many things don’t always turn out the way we think they should “when” we think they should. That doesn’t make our hope wrong or make it wrong to anticipate the hope of our heart. Nor does it give us the right to give up, or throw in the towel. Neither should “not receiving” what we desire shake our faith. Our faith is more than our circumstances. It’s more than our heart’s desire. It’s more than our successes and it’s more than the love of our life. Real faith is not merely receiving from God what we want, but it is accepting from God what He gives. When we can get to that point beautiful souls, When we can accept the disappointments as His appointments, then He can begin to show us His plan. Perhaps He’s just ushered you into the real place of His divine purpose. For that reason we must keep going!! We must persevere, keep going strong in the faith ~ strengthened in the Hope that we have in Christ. He is victorious and that victory is ours. Claim it my friend, even when you don’t feel it, or see it. He embraces us with grace for the moment, but that grace dispenses freely on the obedient who follow Him through those tough times.

To persevere means to stick it out until the end; in the Christian context, it means to hold onto your faith through thick and thin, in every trial, to the end of this earthly life. It is true that perseverance is not an easy assignment. In fact, throughout the Bible we see believers subjected to tests of their faith, some of which seem extraordinarily difficult. Abraham told to sacrifice his son, Daniel in the lions’ den, Joseph in prison and Jeremiah in the miry pit are all examples of extreme situations that called for huge faith in God on the part of these believers.

[Hebrews 10:36] “Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that He has promised.” It is not enough to have one moment of faith with no growth, no fruit, and no learning, because spiritual fruit is a vital ingredient and cannot be omitted. If we persevere in the faith, we remain in the will of God. Those who do His will, enter His kingdom (Matthew 7:21).

There’s so much deception in our world today and truth is difficult to come by! So hard to decipher at times. Sometimes maybe it’s not really our lack of faith and trust in God that tugs at our heartstrings and leaves us feeling guilty but rather our lack of trust lies in those people that surround us; controlling our countries, our world/s Those that don’t know Him or care to know Him. When we can’t trust what they might do next, we feel like we’re not trusting at all. Somehow we have to trust a Sovereign God even for those ~ to those He gives free choice and free will. Even through evil, He keeps those that are precious to us, under His protection. He orders the leaders of our countries to fall into place! Our prayers are our spiritual weapons of warfare in a world of deception and evil, when we can’t and don’t trust humanity to do the right thing or behave in the right way in this whacked out world! So, when we can’t see past our doubt, we can still trust our God to work out the details for those lost in arrogance and deception, and for a world caught up in deception ~ in violence! God has a plan for those! He has a purpose for them to fulfill. He’s consistently working it out under His constant and divine supervision. His will won’t be trumped by evil or thwarted by our feelings or fleeting moments of unbelief, so don’t succumb to the enemy’s lie that your moments of doubt make you “not good enough” to be a mighty warrior in this spiritual battle that’s so very real to the believer on a daily basis.

Hey heart, take heart and pray without ceasing even for those ~ Don’t give up ever, ever! Rejoice anyway! Even in the darkest moments of your soul….Rejoice! Don’t ever believe you’re not good enough to make a powerful difference in this world and in the lives of those you care deeply about. Don’t believe the lie that you can’t move the mountain through the hand of God and through your urgent and diligent prayer. Prayer changes things ~ aren’t we thankful?

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

Let It Go

So let’s embrace “Surrender” today. You know, you’ve been holding back and you’ve held on too tightly for too long but you know there’s a certain, sweet peace in letting it go, and in giving it over to the Sovereign God in control of it all. But you just can’t do it! You can’t let go of that control that you think you have ~ and yet deep down you know you have no control ~ no control at all! The more you try the worse it gets.

Those worries, fears, concerns, secret things that lie tucked away in the deep compartments of your soul ~ all those unforgiven moments that gnaw daily through the comfort zone of your life, chewing a hole through your heart and mind leaving you bitter and very uneasy prove you have no control over the issues. Your control has only left you feeling helpless, empty and alone. Today, surrender it ~ hold it out, and let it go with the wind! Blow it towards Heaven ~ towards God and let Him have it once and for all. He cares ~ He really does. He desires our complete and full out surrender not our half – hearted attempts of trusting Him. So for the big or the small ~ simply trust ~ give it over and exchange it for God’s peace and a sweet peace of mind.

Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
