Joy Unspeakable

So hey you there, with a heavy heart and hard circumstances beating down your door, there is blessing there, because the joy of the Lord alone, is our strength and in His presence alone, is joy beyond our comprehension. It sounds cliche, I know, to say there’s blessing tucked away in the hard places, but the Apostle Peter knew that blessing, like ‘treasures’, lay hidden in trials as he wrote to encourage the persecuted Christians in his day! Still today, beautiful one, his words echo through to us, right here, right now, in this season of celebration of our Lord’s birth, piercing through our dark days, hard times, and rejection.

This season of holly, jolly? It’s not about comfort, good things, and happiness, and although the world places high emphasis on such things, It’s not about that! It’s about a sense of deep, inner peace in our Saviour’s presence and trust and contentment in all things that He works in our waiting. It’s focusing on His presence in us that brings trust to our hearts and minds to erase the depth of the struggle, the intense fear, and the painful aloneness and replace it with a joy unspeakable. ❤

1 Peter 1:7-9
“That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.”
