So you feel undone, bent and broken, shattered and frazzled? What now? Where do you turn in your moments of it? In the long hours of it? In the days, the weeks, and the months of it? Maybe the years of its never-ending chaotic twists and turns where it relentlessly hunts you down to gnaw you apart much like a wild animal stalks it’s prey? The heavy heart it carries makes it so difficult to move forward ~ to even take a small step let alone make it to some place of destination. Maybe it’s depression has you caught in its web, entrapped you in its sticky circle of poison, relentless to let you go! Yes ~ for sure ~ What now? Sight and insight is limited with high walls ~ dark and cold! Choices are difficult! Thinking is impossible! Who can see through it? Well, right there, and right now, know that you are loved by a God who is right there and right now beside you, and He’s ready to shelter you under His wing, hide you in the cleft of the rock and love you just for who you are in the mess and heap of confusion you feel inside. He’s ready to carry you when you can’t move and bless you through the good and bad. He’s ready to grace you over the next step, the next hurdle, and through the deepest and steepest of valleys ~ just because He cares!
When you can’t see past the shadows ~ rest in His, and trust Him there ~ right there in the dark, for the son still shines illuminating brightly in the shadows! So hey, beautiful one, grasp the hem of His garment of love as He brushes by there even when it’s not felt nor understood ~ because it never will be understood. His love goes beyond anything we can imagine! It’s just the way God is and it’s His perfect presence there right now before you ~ for you!
Psalm 91: 1
“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence.”
Ephesians 3:17-20
And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts as you trust in Him. May your roots go down deep into the soil of God’s marvellous love. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love really is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is so great you will never fully understand it. Then you will be filled with the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now all glory to God, who is able through His power to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think
