He Reigns…Let Him Reign!!

Psalm 27: 14

“Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.”

Focus on the Lord with all your mind, soul and heart when going through trials, tribulations, struggles, disappointments, despair, confusion, heartache, frustration and failure. Delight in Him! Come into His sweet presence! Wait on Him! Think on Him, meditate on Him! Talk to Him and Listen to His still small voice speaking peace into your situation. You will find He’s the anchor in your wind tossed boat, holding you steady and secure. You will find Him to be the life preserver in your deep water. The refuge in your storm. The hope in your despair. The strength in your weakness! The peace in your confusion. The healing in your heartache. The calmness in your chaos and the victory in your failure!!

So friends, take heart!! Remain strong in the Lord! Be confident that God is looking after you and the events in your life regardless of how it feels. Give Him the reigns, the driver’s wheel and the controls of your life. Remain there, until He takes you out and brings the blessing!! He knows what He’s doing. He’s the sovereign Lord, the creator of all things. He holds your struggle in he palm of His creative hand. He can crush it! It’s His hand that turns rags to riches, and makes beauty from ashes. Wait on the Lord in your time of trouble and He will lift you up to a place of honor, because that’s just what He does. Our God is an awesome God! Let Him refresh you! He reigns!! Let Him reign!!! _

Prospering In Righteousness,

Psalm 1: 1 & 2

” Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and who meditates on his law day and night…. They are like trees planted along the river bank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither and they prosper in all they do.” Psalm 1: 1 – 3

To take delight in God’s righteousness is to be blessed indeed. We must allow God’s precepts and commandments to dominate our lives day and night, so much so, that they shape our character into Christ likeness, bringing life to it’s fullest measure and abundance. To successfully strive to reach this “height” of Christian maturity our “roots” must go deep with Him into His Word in order to secure that our “life foundation” is stable; planted firmly and grounded solidly in Him, allowing the nutrients of His living water to consistently refresh our soul. A steady supply of His refreshment, nourishing the soul day and night, through the wilderness, the deserts, the loneliness and the darkness, as well as the good times will insure that we won’t give up when the going gets tough, but rather continue to gain strength so that our spiritual growth and richness will be evidenced by spiritual fruit. I love the promise given in Verse 6 “The Lord watches over the way of the righteous.”

What a picture of the blessed, meditating on God’s Word! Yes, Blessed is the man who delights in the law of the Lord

Psalm 51:12

“Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.”

David had committed both adultery and murder and was living in denial when God sent the prophet Nathan to crack open the case and expose the sin for what it was. David knew in his heart he had failed but foolishly thought he could hide it from God. He was living without joy and communication with the God he loved had been broken. His joy had departed from him and he just surviving. It wasn’t that God had left Him, but simply that David himself, had moved from God’s presence into sin. God can’t look on the unrighteousness of our lies, our cheating, our envy, our jealousy, our addictions and the many things that distract us from His holiness. We can’t harbor sin in our lives and live for God at the same time. If we deny it, cover it, lie about it, or run from it, we can be sure that guilt will haunt us, stalk us and catch up to us to snag us much like a wild animal catches it’s prey. David knew in the agony and shame of that moment of exposure that God was still His best friend, loving him unconditionally and that His grace and forgiveness was available no matter what he had done. What a comfort for us to know of David’s failure. He was a man after God’s own heart, chosen by God to do His work, yet he fell short. Let’s learn from him! He knew the joy of his salvation rested in God’s forgiveness, grace and mercy. He knew there would be consequences, but he was willing to begin again by making good choices with the God of His salvation. Let’s know that it’s never too late to begin to make the right choices.

If you feel weary and exhausted from the game of hide and seek that you’re playing with God, you can know that He already knows your place and your position. Nothing surprises Him! He knows what you think you’re hiding. He knows how you feel. He knows your thoughts, your motives and your outcome. He knew Adam and Eve were hiding and why they hid. They had consequences for their actions as well, but they also had God’s unconditional love, and favor as we do, when we come clean before Him. Come out of hiding and find your lost joy and communication restored with the God who made you, and only wants to love you in spite of your shortfalls, failures and sin. That’s what He does! Let Him do it in your life. Let Him free you from the guilt that binds you.

God’s Astounding Greatness!

Psalm 46:1

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”

He is our Rock, our Fortress, our shelter in the time of storm, and our Tower of Refuge! He is our Mighty God, our Everlasting Father, our Rock of Ages, our help in time of need and our shield of protection. He is our Salvation, our Saving Grace, our Redeemer and our King!

“Where can I go from Your Spirit? Where can I flee from Your presence? If I go up to the heavens, You are there! If I rise on the wings of the dawn, If I settle on the far side of the sea, even there Your hand will guide me. Your right hand will hold me fast.” Psalm 139: 7-10.

“Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though it’s waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.” Psalm 46: 2, 3

Why do we fear?

The Psalmist knew who God was! He knew Him to be His protection and his strength in trial. Do you know Him? Can you grasp His greatness and His astounding, amazing protection in your time of need?

To know Him is to see fear cease and trust take root. He is Lord of Lords, Sovereign over all! He has our back and He cares deeply about every detail of our lives. Let’s be challenged today, to live like we believe it and let’s allow faith take root in our hearts and minds as we go about our day!

Blessings to you sweet friends!
