So for what’s going on today in our lives we need to remember God is in control. Default to His mentoring and listen to His wise counsel. Contrary to our belief we don’t have the answers and we don’t know better. Find your joy for the difficult day ahead in a thankful heart because that’s where it’s tucked away and find God’s peace within yourself so that you can share it with others in desperate need. That’s how we can win and get through the day as victor instead of victim.

Colossians 3: 14 – 16
“Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity. 15Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful. 16Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.…”

So if you feel defeated and your problem seems insurmountable, tell it how big your God is and leave it with Him!  Trust Him through it regardless of your feelings and what you see. Remember the enemy knows where he can break through and attack!  He’ll catch you when you’re not looking ~ not alert!   Don’t forget that God’s hand controls the universe and your little world. His power is greater!   His victory is sure!   His grace sweet and His love unconditional.   He’s got your problem!   He’s got your back!   He’s got you covered so if you doubt His skilled mastermind and sovereignty ~ don’t!   He’s working behind the scenes of your trial in ways that you could never comprehend.   He will bring you through!   He will get you to the other side!

1 John 4: 4
“You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.”

Luke 8:22
One day Jesus said to his disciples, “Let us go over to the other side of the lake.” So they got into a boat and set out.” …we know the rest…We know about the storm that came up, and their fear and how Christ spoke peace into the eye of it and calmed the wind and the waves. That’s what He does. I love how He does it!

Making Your World “Go Round”

So, what’s on your “Go To” list? Those things that you think you can’t live without and the things that completely consume your thoughts, either in worry or pleasure? The things that you spend your money on and trick you into thinking their possession will satisfy your craving? The friends that allow you to fit like a glove and help you to blend in with the wallpaper regardless of their influence? The higher step on the ladder of success at all cost and maybe at someone else’s expense? All these things can make our world “Go Round” yet subtly consume our energy levels leaving us completely exhausted both physically and spiritually. When they become our passion they become our pride and our god! Remember pride comes before a fall so take care to stay balanced in all the good things of life. Practice the balancing act by beginning your day with God and letting Him in on your thoughts and plans. He already knows what they are so let Him help you with that. Be challenged to go deeper with Him in your faith walk! Give it all over and find that precious peace that results in letting go!

Exodus 20:1-26

The Calm In The Storm

For the things that you don’t understand, don’t try to! For some things you may never know the “Why” or the “What For?”

One thing you can know is, that as a believer, the Sovereign One who is in control is with you, walking beside you, perhaps carrying you over the rough spots. He can speak ‘Peace’ into the eye of your storm, calm the wind and still the tide if you ask Him in childlike faith. Seek His council and hear His advice. Walk on faithfully in complete trust and know that He cares.

Mark 4: 38-40
“Jesus Himself was in the stern, asleep on the cushion; and they woke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?” And He got up and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Hush, be still.” And the wind died down and it became perfectly calm. And He said to them, “Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?”…
