The Kind Thing

Just do it!

It’s kind of like giving grace out isn’t it? Sometimes, in the hard places it’s hard to give it but giving out kindness and being kind is kind of like giving out grace and being gracious! It’s not always easy in our humanness to give of it freely! It may fall on deaf ears and cynical hearts but it’s still a sincere kindness and a beautiful grace coming from a sincere heart; your sincere heart, and so do it anyways. Yeah, just go on now and do the “reaching out” thing to someone in need. To someone who hurts or possibly hurts others because they themselves hurt. Hurt returns hurt, much like kindness returns kindness. But then, deep in hurt, a gentle spirit of kindness comes in, in a kind of gentle way, to soften and heal. You, yourself and your beautiful soul can be that kindness that comes in to soothe and smooth out the jagged edge.

Sometimes the very hardest thing to do but the very kindest thing is to just pray kindness over the one in most need. It will move God’s hand of blessing over them and return to you multiplied! So yeah, you there, right there in the center of hurt, tears and anger, do a kind thing! Share a prayer of love and find it returning in twofold in a blessing of grace and healing upon your own beautiful soul.

Colossians 3:12
“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.”

“If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat, and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink. For in so doing, you will heap burning coals on his head, and the LORD will reward you.”
Proverbs 25:22

Embrace Peace

Peace? That unexplainable “Letting it all go” feeling that transcends all understanding. How can we do it? How can we let the big things that exhaust our minds just fall away from our thinking? So much ‘stuff’ overwhelms and so many issues are at stake. Still, we are called to peace and trust; trusting in a God that we can’t see!

We need a firm faith both strong enough and transparent enough to “see Him” through His  faithfulness in the past as He reached to us in our moments of conundrum. Yeah, He was there all the time ~ through it all ~ through the thick and thin of it all. He was there when the heart was torn, when the fears where real, when our spirits were crushed and when even the slightest hope had dissipated from our broken world!

And now ~ this moment He still is ~ right there at your blind side, ready to give you insight for the next step and ready to give that peace we will never understand in our humanness. He has that for you too! Step into it and let all the issues go ~ Drop them into those pierced hands and into His care. He’ll take it from there and serenade you with perfect peace! That’s what He does! I love how He does it.

“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” John 14: 27

Keep Hope In Your Heart

Keep hope in your heart

Hey, why don’t we all just take a time out right now to behold the scarred palms of our Saviour. They tell a love story from His heart to ours. Those scars speak volumes of a depth of love so unconditional it can make us blush in our undeserving selves. What love for you and me and we and us is cradled there in those divine hands of healing and hope and grace and mercy. Trust Him today and so simply let Him reach out to you with hands of healing as He seals the hope deep within you and refreshes your soul

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes: but its leaf will be green, and will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7-8.

Rest In His Shadow

So you feel undone, bent and broken, shattered and frazzled? What now? Where do you turn in your moments of it? In the long hours of it? In the days, the weeks, and the months of it? Maybe the years of its never-ending chaotic twists and turns where it relentlessly hunts you down to gnaw you apart much like a wild animal stalks it’s prey? The heavy heart it carries makes it so difficult to move forward ~ to even take a small step let alone make it to some place of destination. Maybe it’s depression has you caught in its web, entrapped you in its sticky circle of poison, relentless to let you go! Yes ~ for sure ~ What now? Sight and insight is limited with high walls ~ dark and cold! Choices are difficult! Thinking is impossible! Who can see through it? Well, right there, and right now, know that you are loved by a God who is right there and right now beside you, and He’s ready to shelter you under His wing, hide you in the cleft of the rock and love you just for who you are in the mess and heap of confusion you feel inside. He’s ready to carry you when you can’t move and bless you through the good and bad. He’s ready to grace you over the next step, the next hurdle, and through the deepest and steepest of valleys ~ just because He cares!

When you can’t see past the shadows ~ rest in His, and trust Him there ~ right there in the dark, for the son still shines illuminating brightly in the shadows! So hey, beautiful one, grasp the hem of His garment of love as He brushes by there even when it’s not felt nor understood ~ because it never will be understood. His love goes beyond anything we can imagine! It’s just the way God is and it’s His perfect presence there right now before you ~ for you!

Psalm 91: 1
“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence.”

Ephesians 3:17-20
And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts as you trust in Him. May your roots go down deep into the soil of God’s marvellous love. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love really is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is so great you will never fully understand it. Then you will be filled with the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now all glory to God, who is able through His power to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think
