So let’s begin another new day by accepting God’s grace to begin again! While we’re at it, let’s stuff our souls and our hearts and our pockets with excess to lavishly spend on others throughout the days ahead.

It’s so daily isn’t it ~ This giving of grace? So all the time and so everywhere and on everyone? The wrong thing said, the rude remark, the uncaring soul, the friend that didn’t care ~ and the list goes on and on and on, and then we take a look at our inside selves to see just as much “uncalled for” behavior from ‘self’ and we know that we need grace as much as they! Remember for all the misbehaved offenses, that come there is an accuser of the brethren, a father of lies and the instigator, who messes things all up with chaos and confusion. He twists our arms and our minds into thinking it’s the person causing the grief and takes great delight when we hurt and pin the blame on others rather than himself. So, when the pain sears and rips through your heart like a knife, turn it over to God and allow His mercy to find you and strengthen you. Allow His grace to mellow you and empty your beautiful soul of bitterness, anger and grief only to fill it with more of Him and His care, His healing and His sweet, unconditional love. Find a solace there in His rest and a peace there in His protection. Ahh, now you can empty your pockets of all that redemptive grace that you’ve stored away just for this special moment. Lavishly spend it on that poor soul in need and let them go. Ah ~ that’s where your blessing hides ~ right there in your freedom from the entanglement of it all. So ~ sweet and beautiful soul ~ Let it go and begin another week of freedom, walking with A God who truly cares.

David expresses his complete confidence in his all powerful, all knowing, God of the universe. There is nothing hidden from His brilliant creator. He had complete assurance that God knew him as he was. Inside and out I guess we can say. As God knew David’s heart, He knows ours ~ what makes us tick, what riles us and what we find delight in. We’re His creation! He made us to be who we are: faults, weaknesses, strengths and all. He saw everything He made and it was good!! You are made in His image! You are made well and according to God’s standards of excellence, you have His stamp of approval and a life – time warranty for your allotted years on this earth and a glorious life eternal with your Savior.

Ok then ~ What do we do when life throws it’s left hooks at us? When it cuts us off at the pass and sideswipes us off our feet? What do we do when we find ourselves in the pit of despair, in bondage to sin, addictions, depression, discouragement, anger, fear, worry or pain?

When something breaks we call on the manufacturer, the one who put it together and knows it’s intricate workings from the inside out. Someone who can assess and evaluate what needs attention and then gets right to the heart of the problem. Friends, when we are broken, down cast, fearful, sad, remorseful and running on empty, we have a maker ~ a manufacturer who knows us from the ground level up. He formed us, He knows, knows, knows us and every detail affecting us. He can get right to the ‘heart’ of the problem. His life-time warranty is our confidence that He can fix it, no strings attached, if we but take ourselves to Him. He will make it work out for our good and His glory, under His skillful hand!

Like David let’s find our assurance in our brilliant creator. The one who made us, can heal us, cleanse us, forgive us, fix us and bless us. ❤ ❤ ❤

Our God is brilliant and even in our greatest thoughts of Him, He is greater still. His works are wonderful!! We can know that full well.

Sweet Moments With God And Coffee

Don’t you just love those early morning hours when it’s just God and you and the whole rest of your world still sleeps? My four, little furry girls still breathe heavily on the floor at my feet and I feel so thankful for their furry, little presence and their joyful, yet ‘busy’ little bodies in the home. What would life be without them? There’s just so much to be thankful for isn’t there? And there’s just not another moment so sweet in my day as this one!

Even the issues heavy on the heart lighten just a touch, in those ‘oh so still and quiet times.’ Oh ~ maybe the rest of the world is hustling and bustling down the highway, racing the clock to make work arrival deadlines with buses to board, flights to catch and time-clocks to punch. But you? Ahh, for you, at least for just a few ‘ever so quick’ morning minutes’ while still savoring that sweet coffee ~ well, they’re just yours ~ with God! Just to let that “ever so fragile” stillness linger and the aches and pains ease ~ maybe just a bit ~ and then just to lay it all out before Him and listen to His council and advise for the day. He’s sure to let you know just what He’d like you do and just how to go about it. You can be sure that your weakness won’t hinder and that He won’t ask the impossible of you and whatever He requires He has already equipped you for. So ~ no worries, no frets! Not today! Just find that “God confidence” and let Him grace you with His supernatural power. Let Him lift you over the hurdles and the high places. Rest in the quiet moments with the Light and shine in the dark. Let hope rise within your beautiful soul and watch it bloom today through the aches and pains ~ The broken heart ~ The deadlines and the fears.

When The Way Is Long

So when the way is long and unending and the night lasts oh ‘ so forever ‘ ~ to throw in the towel seems awfully tempting doesn’t it? To run and forget it all just seems so much easier than dealing with the ‘stuff’ on your plate. You can run to the farthest room ~ store or the farthest park on the planet, but you know that your night will follow you! It will even beat you there and conveniently hang the welcome sign just to make sure you feel at home with your troubles. 😦

So ~ I guess running isn’t going to do it for us. I guess when the night goes on forever, we have to face whatever it is that makes it so dark, so alone and so empty. Perhaps it’s jealousy that gnaws, fears that stalk, worry and anxiety that tear you up emotionally, perhaps prayers that go unanswered ~ these all need to find peace in the dark nights and our lonely, but oh so sweet and beautiful souls need to catch a glorious vision of a God who made us and yes, a God who really does care and is in full-out control, even when it seems like He’s not. He’s promised never to leave or forsake His own and because He was faithful yesterday, we can trust Him today for that. Are you trusting through the dark ~ the long night ~ the unending unanswered prayer? Don’t fight and don’t run but simply stand still and see the salvation of our Lord.

Exodus 14: 13
“And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to-day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to-day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.”

Deuteronomy 31:6
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
