So let the worries go today. You know God has them but He won’t help you out from under the load of them until you give them over. When our mind is on overload and weighted down with heaps of stuff and a lot of it being only a part of our wildest imaginations, the enemy has you right where he wants you; Weakened and zapped of energy and strength. Defeated and down! You won’t function at peak levels, so beautiful soul, you gotta give it all you’ve got and one more time, aggressively hand it all over to God for keeps this time. Dole ’em out, and hand ’em over! All the struggles, the torment, the pressures, the problem relationships, the impossible employment situations, the sleepless nights, the financial crisis, the kid issue, the health report, that nagging worry that could very well be just a figment of your own imagination, your pet peeves, your jealousy and all that nonsense that just slowly eats away at your peace of mind stealing your joy and robbing you of hope.
So ~ let it go and you, yourself, float right into those ever merciful and loving arms of our Lord, who desires to see you at rest in Him. The One who desires to grace you and love you with His vast and deeper than deep love! You know it, so act on it and in obedience trust Him for all of it. Worried, anxious, nervous, on edge? Ask His direction and listen to the still small voice that He speaks from the incidentals and quiet moments that come about within your day. It will boggle your mind, how He leads in His quiet, “Still small voice” way and at the end of the day when you put your feet up and find peace in your busy soul, you will say “That was God!” and if you listen, you will hear Him say,
“Yes it was! Trust me for tomorrow too!”
“And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.” 1 Kings 19:12
“It stopped, but I could not tell what it was. A form stood before my eyes, and I heard a hushed voice.” Job 4:6
“So he said to me, ‘This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel, ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty.” Zechariah 4:6
Little Thoughts For Big Days
“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.” Philippians 4: 8, 9
Think On Whatever Is Of Good Report
So beautiful soul, for today, keep it in mind. Have you heard something good recently? Then train your mind to think on it, ponder it and forget the negative. Let us focus our eyes our hearts and our minds on the events and moments that are worthy of praise and uplifting in nature and check out the awesome promise that follows that obedience! “The God of peace will be with us.” Good thoughts usher in God’s peace and sweet, divine healing but a downcast mind reels with confusion and anxiety. Choose good! Choose God and find peace today!
So the journey is long and unsettled and the doubts are large and looming. Fear lurks in the little corners of your world, nipping joy in the bud or maybe they aggressively approach without warning, sideswiping you blindfolded if they fail to hit head on! Yet, here you sit on another day of trying to get it together ~ making decisions and hoping for right ones. Friends are like Job’s friends, probably best if they would remain silent or at least offer encouragement. It seems like you just dealt with “that” and now “this.” World news is anything but good and your news? well ~ let’s just say you could do with a little bit better deal than what was just dealt! Where on this whole, wide earth is life going and where is it taking you?
Beautiful soul, God speaks to you through all the stuff that’s got you! He only allows it to make your beautiful soul more beautiful and more strong and more graced and more faithed and more steady for still ~ the journey ahead. He hasn’t promised it easy but just to be in it with you and guide your way. So those decisions you need to make ~ just ask Him to lead and be obedient to follow! Remember the same God that spoke peace and calmed the wild waters and stilled the sea speaks peace into your frightening moments and uneasiness to calm and soothe your soul and smooth the trouble! So beautiful you ~ take heart and let God take control of this moment, the next, the next and the day ahead.
Mark 4: 39
“When Jesus woke up He rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Silence, be still.” Suddenly the wind stopped and there was a great calm.”
So have faith today and faith your fear. Trust in the One who has authority over the wind and the waves and has you and has your stuff and has your back and has you covered. There’s hope there and peace there for those in need
So your mind is full of stuff that’s happening in the world ~ It’s all around you, infiltrating your personal life, your world and our free country doesn’t seem so free any more! Your mind is hurled in all directions and laws, so contrary to Biblical principles, are being instigated into our culture that we have no say in and Government officials are gung – ho for it all and leadership is anything but comforting. Yes, we pray against the decisions, but the laws still get passed! Where is God now, when we need Him to come and heal our land? He seems to be right where we put Him. We’ve pushed Him and prayer out of our educational system, only to find uneasy and controversial subjects introduced into our curriculums from kindergarten up, that sadly now, we have no say in! Didn’t we used to be able to speak up and stand up for what we believed to be right? Where did it go? It’s all happened so subtly and bit by bit evil has poured it’s poison over our society with it’s powerful infiltration ~ so much so that even adults and parents reel with confusion over what’s right and what’s wrong and get pulled into the wrong believing it’s right. Many believers are being deceived and will argue against Biblical truth. Clearly events are unfolding to make way for a one world government and how on this whole, wide side of the earth do all the little ‘me’s” make a difference? The you and I’s that clearly don’t like what we see happening and yet feel helpless to make some kind of positive encounter against it all?
In 2 Chronicles 6: 12 Solomon prayed before the entire community of Israel and asked the Lord to hear and forgive when people failed to be obedient. He asked for justice to prevail when guilt and innocence couldn’t be determined. His was a powerful pray-er for guidance and blessing. In 2 Chronicles 7:14, God gives a gracious answer to his plea, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Yes, prayer to the one true God, the sovereign One who rules over all the earthly governments and all the principalities and powers is our only resource and when prayed to our one true God, it packs a powerful punch of divine supernatural authority! Pray then ~ because beautiful soul ~ prayer is all we’ve got and it’s the awesome, power source at our disposal that calls believers everywhere to action.
Yeah, remember, all this horrendous unfolding of stuff is Biblical prophecy being fulfilled and as Luke 17: 26 reminds us, “As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.” God judged the unrighteousness of man with the flooding of the entire earth to clean it up by destroying the sin that had taken over. Make no mistake about it, He will again judge the earth and no doubt His return is imminent but no one knows the day nor the hour. We have to be ready, but, believers everywhere, we might well be called to stick around for a while and we might well be called to endure some pretty messy stuff. “Note To Self” and mark it on your heart today ~ “Stay true to the faith” and say with Paul “I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:14 and say with Peter in 1 Peter 5:8-10, “Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Stand firm against him and be strong in your faith. Remember that your Christian brothers and sisters all over the world are going through the same kind of suffering you are…. God, who shows you his kindness and who has called you through Christ Jesus to His eternal glory, will restore you, strengthen you, make you strong…”
Oh what a promise for us ~ for our future and the generations to follow. Stay true! Remain strong! Remain steadfast and unmovable, standing for the right even when wrong prevails. Suddenly ~ little ‘me’s” become powerful armies of prayer warriors with God, the host of heaven’s armies leading the way to that final and glorious eternal victory!
