“We certainly are like the modern day “Children Of Israel” aren’t we? As believers we’ve been delivered from bondage and on our way to the land of promise, yet so forgetful of God’s past faithfulness and His miracles. He still parts our Red Seas and takes care of our enemies! He still provides us with precious manna and instructions for gathering it, but we complain and worry and fret and scheme to try to run ahead of Him all the time just to try to make it work for us. We forget His credentials as the powerful and brilliant mastermind, creator of the universe, the world and all that’s in it. Our problems to Him are really very small compared to what He does and what He’s accomplished and going to accomplish. We must take Him out the box that we confine Him too, take our hands off and watch Him do His brilliant work in our lives.
Exodus 14: 29 – 31
But the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground, with a wall of water on their right and on their left. That day the Lord saved Israel from the hands of the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians lying dead on the shore. And when the Israelites saw the mighty hand of the Lord displayed against the Egyptians, the people feared the Lord and put their trust in him and in Moses his servant.”
It’s difficult to just sit by and watch someone ruin their life with bad choices but it just doesn’t matter how “off” people appear to be, coming down on them will only intensify the problem. Yes, we can confront gently and as believers, we’re called to do that! It’s appropriate to try to reason but somewhere along the way we have to back off and let God do the big stuff, while we just simply accept who they are for who they are and love them just because….
1 Corinthians 13:4-7
“Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.”
If you fail or succeed today God will be there for you, so don’t forget to remind yourself of His grace, and His unconditional love for you in your difficult moments or in your heights of ecstasy!
Little Thoughts For Big Days
Either way it’s a win/win situation simply because He pours His mercy over you and saturates you with His favor. He empowers you with strength to pull yourself up and try again or to succeed successfully! So when things work out and when they don’t just know He’s close by! When prayers are answered and when it seems they pitifully stop at the ceiling, just know God has a plan and is still close by His people cheering them on to the finish line. He has you engraved in the palm of His hand and that my friend is commitment you can trust
Isaiah 49: 15, 16
“Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has born? Though she may forget, I will not forget you!
See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands.”
Proverbs 16:3
“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.”
Little Thoughts For Big Days Trapped and imprisoned yet on the Run to nowhere! So you’ve been there have you? Thrust into the utter depths of ruin and despair for no other reason other than a selfish rebellion that robbed you of your better life, that you once knew? That rebel in you, that you gave consent to, took you to the dead-end of the road and left you beaten at the edge of the cliff and stricken with massive loss! Now you sit in a heaps of stinking garbage and life is so heavy with a heart that’s heavier still!! It’s terrible and the loss has been incredible and so not worth it, but it’s too late to change the fact that it happened, for it surely did and it happened to you. Oh how could rebel ‘Self’ get you into this fix? Hanging over this sharp, dangling edge of abyss, where the darkness is darker than it’s ever been before, where nothing makes any sense any more? Guilt, anger, depression, and all the emotions that come to take over and take you down farther still, all have to have their day with you, and when you try to fight them off you find your fight is weak because your strength has been zapped, and it’s just Way easier to give in to that power that undermines you, than to stay strong! The ‘rebel’ in you seems stronger and just easier to succumb to than your will power and self-discipline to begin to dig out.
And… You wonder, where does it all end? How do I make a comeback and re-surface to the top? Will I ever re-surface? Will I ever again see the light at the end of the tunnel, or is gone forever fallen into that dark abyss that stares at me in the face? oh selfish ‘self’ what have you done?
No Longer Alone
Anyone who goes the way of the prodigal, turning a deaf ear to God, in order to find greener pastures in the life they imagine, only finds it to be a self-destructive dream! A dream that quickly accelerates into a nightmare of no escape, where consequences of actions are frightening and difficult to overcome! Maybe you know of a prodigal or live with one and are all too aware of the heartbreak to watch one, where it seems easier to spiral downward than to fight the current and rise up again. One can’t do it alone. Oh Yeah ~ the enemy’s grip is too tight and his web of deceit too binding. His bondage too strong ~ too tough! He lies to your face while he knocks you down and tramples on you while you’re there. Let’s just say he’s not your best friend. Never was! Never will be! Let Him go! But there is no help for the “rebel” you unless you hear God’s words of redemption and seek His face, divine wisdom and His healing counsel.
You Can Overcome this! God’s grace miracle is beside you. Spread your wings and fly.[caption
Psalm 107: 4, 5, 6, 9
“Some wandered in desert wastelands, finding no way to a city where they could settle;
They were hungry and thirsty and their lives ebbed away.
Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble and He delivered them from their distress…
He satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.”

for they had rebelled against the words of God and despised the council of the Most High.
So He subjected them to bitter labor; they stumbled and there was no one to help.
Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble and He brought them out of their darkness and deepest gloom
and broke away their chains.”
Psalm 107: 17, 19, 20

They cried to the Lord in their trouble and He saved them from their distress. He sent forth His word and He healed them;
He rescued them from the grave.”
