So, beautiful soul, there you sit in what seems like a heap of troubling, unsettling circumstances and it’s all got your mind wrapped up tighter than tight in a confused and chaotic state ~ Ahh….You need direction for the next move but your fear is bigger than your willingness to make it. Fear is such a powerful thing isn’t it? ~ binding us so in it’s poison ivy grip? ~ and you’ve found yourself in one big mess of it. It leaves it mark on your soul and your heart, and it’s not easily remedied. It comes in surround sound and it gets so dramatic doesn’t it, when it plays on our emotions and sets the mind in tumultous turmoil? ~ To stand against it seems like a heavy, daunting and impossible task.
Well ~ beautiful you, when fear has you bound, it’s not God writing your story ‘cuz He’s not the author of fear. He writes peace on your heart and gives a sound mind. He’s all for the joy and the hope that He offers to His children and that’s what He gives so generously if we’re willing to receive it from His hand of grace. He desires to cover us with divine peace that goes beyond our comprehension and He’s provided it in spite of ~ It’s right there for you to step into and claim for your own. God’s peace or the enemy’s fear and doubt? Freedom from fear or caught in it’s web? The choice is really ours.
So, today, let’s remember 2 Timothy 1:7, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” So, beautiful soul, know who you’re up against when fear strikes and know who fights on your behalf for your freedom from it. Step into that peace that God has for His own and speaks of in John 14:27, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” It will be a peace that quietly yet dramatically floods over your soul that you just won’t ‘get’ by understanding it. It will surround you, just by claiming it and faithfully walking in it and so regardless of your messy, trouble and the poison ivy vines ~ you’ll escape and walk through it all unscathed and unharmed. That fear will drop behind as you press on with a new strength and a new trust in the one sovereign God in control of your stuff. It’s all ok now, He’s got it and He’ll take you through it!
God’s peace makes it a beautiful day after all! ~k
