So when you don’t feel good enough or strong enough to face it, just know that God’s grace reaches to the lowest of lows to pick up and elevate to the highest of the heights. That’s you and me He reaches for to lift us out of where we are, to hold us close to His gentle heart and saturate us with His favour and His ‘always there’ grace. He has enough grace to go around and reach to the ends of the earth and to everyone in it, so you can know, He’s got enough for you in your corner! Right there, right where you are, He’ll dispense it as you need it, and not a moment sooner, so don’t panic in the moment of the unknowns and the insecurities, and the disappointments. Grace lurks in those horrific places, just ready to be given and God will give generously and lavishly and just so willingly and His love, so unconditional, won’t care about what you’ve done or haven’t done.
So you see, there are no worries to perform to perfection. No, beautiful soul, Perfection is not necessary for grace to meet you where you are and take you from where you’ve been. Let it go and step out of the past and be drenched in the sweetness of His grace and favour. He’ll see you through the next step in the journey.
Ephesians 4: 7
“But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it.”
2 Peter 1: 2
“Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.”

Who Writes Your Story?
So, beautiful soul, there you sit in what seems like a heap of troubling, unsettling circumstances and it’s all got your mind wrapped up tighter than tight in a confused and chaotic state ~ Ahh….You need direction for the next move but your fear is bigger than your willingness to make it. Fear is such a powerful thing isn’t it? ~ binding us so in it’s poison ivy grip? ~ and you’ve found yourself in one big mess of it. It leaves it mark on your soul and your heart, and it’s not easily remedied. It comes in surround sound and it gets so dramatic doesn’t it, when it plays on our emotions and sets the mind in tumultous turmoil? ~ To stand against it seems like a heavy, daunting and impossible task.
Well ~ beautiful you, when fear has you bound, it’s not God writing your story ‘cuz He’s not the author of fear. He writes peace on your heart and gives a sound mind. He’s all for the joy and the hope that He offers to His children and that’s what He gives so generously if we’re willing to receive it from His hand of grace. He desires to cover us with divine peace that goes beyond our comprehension and He’s provided it in spite of ~ It’s right there for you to step into and claim for your own. God’s peace or the enemy’s fear and doubt? Freedom from fear or caught in it’s web? The choice is really ours.
So, today, let’s remember 2 Timothy 1:7, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” So, beautiful soul, know who you’re up against when fear strikes and know who fights on your behalf for your freedom from it. Step into that peace that God has for His own and speaks of in John 14:27, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” It will be a peace that quietly yet dramatically floods over your soul that you just won’t ‘get’ by understanding it. It will surround you, just by claiming it and faithfully walking in it and so regardless of your messy, trouble and the poison ivy vines ~ you’ll escape and walk through it all unscathed and unharmed. That fear will drop behind as you press on with a new strength and a new trust in the one sovereign God in control of your stuff. It’s all ok now, He’s got it and He’ll take you through it!
God’s peace makes it a beautiful day after all! ~k

Broken Shells
So when you’re washed up on shore in a heap of debris and broken shell, and when there’s nothing left but empty, you’re still sitting in God’s grace ‘cuz His grace runs on empty! He gives something for nothing all the time and when we’re so undeserving of even that next breath, He makes it happen just because He’s God and just because He’s all about you. His love is lavish and His mercy extensive and it’s all over you in that heap of brokenness. So, when there’s no where to go….where to from here? A good choice is right into His arms of protection! Ask Him to fix it and guide you in your next thought, your next choice and your next step and know that’s it’s all ok ~ it’s alright to be empty and broken ‘cuz that’s where we can be repaired and refilled and recycled for His glory. You ~ broken, beautiful soul, are right where He wants you. So begin today to reprogram with the One who made you. Oh there might be loss in the healing and restoring process but growing closer to God through it all is our greater fortune! Rest for now in His healing presence and trust Him to fix it…
Job 42:10 “And the Lord restored the fortunes of Job, when he had prayed for his friends. And the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.”
Hosea 6:1 “Come, let us return to the Lord; for he has torn us, that he may heal us; he has struck us down, and he will bind us up.”
Jeremiah 32:27 “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is anything too hard for me?

Weary And Worn
So there’s most likely a whole bunch of us tired tonight. Victims of stuff that happens in daily routine. Sometimes don’t we even wonder why, as it seems that nothing out of the ordinary has happened, it’s just everything all coming together into one big conundrum without any reprieve. Oh, aren’t we needing quiet rest for the weariness of our beings and for the healing of our souls? Yeah, the body is willing but the mind is weak, and sometimes we just can’t shut it down or shut it off and find sweet peace in there somewhere ~ anywhere. We’ve done dinner, and dishes and kids and laundry, yes, even on Sunday, and we’ve done more dinner and dishes and kids and laundry, yes, even on Sunday. We’ve dealt with issues, hurts, bandaids, snacks and pets, and ministries and services, people and did I say kids? Yeah, big ones, little ones, newborns, fighting kids and obnoxious kids and selfish kids and more kids and does it ever stop long enough to catch your breath? No, not likely ~ not until you’ve totally flopped back on that bed, eyes closed, breathing a quick sigh of relief five minutes before a whailing cry pierces the dark! Maybe teeth, maybe tummy, maybe sniffles, maybe nightmares, but you mom, are up to deal with it. And you were so tired too. It doesn’t seem fair, and this motherhood thing, this sweet pic of motherhood, seems way bigger and longer lasting than the books ever painted it!
You’re a busy mom and a wearied, beautiful soul, sometimes tattered and torn and tossed about in the massive, whirlwind of your needy family. Is there ever time for you to collect your thoughts, regroup and recoup? Yeah, you feel like you stand on the banks of your own personal, private Red Sea that refuses to part! Not now, not ever! But beautiful mom, and you, it will part, and it will end, and for now just know that yours is the highest calling anyone could be blessed with. You lead life itself into maturity, and it’s a hard place and tough job because it’s so daily but it’s well worth the effort and the constant demands as you wear the many hats of your day to help satisfy the many needs of your brood. Ahhh yes, when you reach that comfy, soft pillow one more time say with the Psalmist in Palm 62: 5,6,7,8 “Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in Him. He alone is my Rock and my salvation. My fortress where I shall not be shaken….Oh my people trust Him at all times. Pour out your heart to Him, for God is our refuge.” Then look on to Psalm 66: 5,6 and take comfort and find Hope in a God of miracles and a God of grace and a God of mercy and favour. A God who cares about the cares of His own…yeah, “Come and see what our God has done. What awesome miracles He performs for His people. He made a dry path through the Red Sea, and His people went across on foot.”
You will too! Your feet will find a foothold in the instabilities and diversities of mom life! It might not be within the next five minutes but your Red Sea will part and when it does, you’ll know it. You will realize God’s amazing and sustaining grace that has kept you through the stormy seasons of this life. For now though, mom, Rest your weary soul in God’s hands and find His care for your sweet self as you gently dole it out to ‘life’ entrusted to you and life in your care.
