Dump The Fear

Little Thoughts For Big Days
So today, go to the throne of grace and dump your fear at the foot of the cross! You don’t need it and you don’t want it. It’s like a dead-weight bound around your ankle holding you down from the amazing potential that God has given you. He has work for you to do, so manage the fear today. Take it to the One who knows your intricate heartbeat, and fashioned you to be the beautiful soul you are for His purpose. Don’t miss out on that blessing because of fear that the enemy puts in your pathway. When it nudges you or looms high in your journey, give it the cold shoulder with some good, ole’ fashioned promises from God’s word and nip it in the bud or zap it out cold. Your life is too precious to taint it with the paralysis of such a threat. God has you, let it go! Stand firm and take up your sword, which is the word of God, to begin your journey of trust once again and find the peace in the promises of God.
The first thing Gideon had to do when preparing for battle was to whittle down his army. He had too many fearful men, that couldn’t be used. Fearful soldiers are a threat to the others and a threat to the battle. Fear is the one of the most used tools of the enemy to defeat God’s people.

Judges 7: 2, 3
The LORD said to Gideon, “The people who are with you are too many for Me to give Midian into their hands, for Israel would become boastful, saying, ‘My own power has delivered me.’ 3″Now therefore come, proclaim in the hearing of the people, saying, ‘Whoever is afraid and trembling, let him return and depart from Mount Gilead.'” So 22,000 people returned, but 10,000 remained.”

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1: 7
