What impossibility hangs heavy over you today? Oh we all have our storms that rage and our mountains that we see way off in the distance as we try to muster courage to face them. We can live in doubt, fear or perhaps denial but sooner or later we reach them or they catch up with us and we know that now is the time that we must begin our steep accent or our walk on the water. You can do it, but not alone. If you go it alone, you set yourself up for mishap and misfortune and we’ve all been there at some point to know it’s not worth it! Yet, we forget who God really is in these crucial moments and like Peter walking on the water, we become fearful and take our eyes off of Christ! We look away from Him, into the impossibilities of the challenge that we face and so we begin to sink. As Peter was going down, he cried out to the Lord in Matthew 13:30, “Lord, save me! The Lord answered him in 31, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?” Then He took his hand and caught him.
Your storm might seem impossible, but God is faithful and you can trust Him to catch you. You can trust Him to get you through. I don’t know what you face today but stay focused on Christ, climbing the mountain! Remain calm, with eyes on Him, while walking on the water!
