Some Days Are Like That

Little Thoughts For Big Days
Little Thoughts For Big Days

So some days are just like that!! Pick yourself up and get back on track. It’s not the end of the world, although it may stretch you out of your comfort zone. Remember God’s presence cancels out fear so go in confidence and find the hidden blessing.

Psalm 56: 10 – 12
“In God, whose word I praise, In the LORD, whose word I praise, In God I have put my trust, I shall not be afraid. What can man do to me? Your vows are binding upon me, O God; I will render thank offerings to You.…”

No Fear In Trust

Psalm 46:1

” God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”

He is our Rock, our Fortress, our shelter in the time of storm, and our Tower of Refuge! He is our Mighty God, our Everlasting Father, our Rock of Ages, our help in time of need and our shield of protection. He is our Salvation, our Saving Grace, our Redeemer and our King!

“Where can I go from Your Spirit? Where can I flee from Your presence? If I go up to the heavens, You are there! If I rise on the wings of the dawn, If I settle on the far side of the sea, even there Your hand will guide me. Your right hand will hold me fast.” Psalm 139: 7-10.

“Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though it’s waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.” Psalm 46: 2, 3

Why do we fear?

The Psalmist knew who God was! He knew Him to be His protection and his strength in trial. Do you know Him? Can you grasp His greatness and His astounding, amazing protection in your time of need?

To know Him is to see fear cease and trust take root. He is Lord of Lords, Sovereign over all! He has our back and He cares deeply about every detail of our lives. Let’s be challenged today, to live like we believe it and let faith take root in our hearts and minds as we go about our day

Fearful?

2 Timothy 1:7

“For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.”

Through this letter, all who take up the cross and follow Jesus are charged to complete the ministry that God has given them, through the life-giving power of Christ’s resurrection.

As Paul writes to Timothy from a Roman prison he gently and firmly challenges him to Rome to carry the work of Christ forward. Paul reminds Timothy of his genuine faith, rooted and grounded in his grandmother and his mother. Timothy’s faith was authentic and strong and he was to pick up the torch and carry it in Paul’s absence. Paul prepares him mentally and emotionally for the suffering that may be ahead as he works for the sake of the Gospel, yet encourages him to cultivate the spiritual gifts that God has given him to further enhance the work of the Lord. In other words, Timothy, it won’t be easy street, but you must remain true, loyal and steadfast in your faith. This message is for us today and for the sake of the gospel message of salvation, we must rise to the challenge of spreading the Word of Truth. God wants His people to get up in Jesus name and fight the good fight of faith, running with perseverance to take a hold of the same power that Paul knew and had at his disposal. Paul didn’t just talk it, he lived it out even in the face of adversity and through the threat of the prison cell.

Let’s rise from our seats of complacency and compromise and allow the Lord to stir up a passion within us for the salvation of the lost! There is no room for fear when we are equipped with God’s spiritual gifts, His presence, His power, His victory and a passion to serve Christ at all cost.
