Neck Deep In Disobedience


So needy for grace today? So needy for just some assurance that it’s ok and it’s alright and nothing will touch you that isn’t God filtered and God ordered and God ordained? Yeah, we’ve all been there, and we know that sometimes God allows the bad to save us from the worst of stuff. Ponder Jonah the Prophet and his story of rebellion against a God, who had given specific orders. Think of the stench he was allowed to be swallowed up into in order to survive the wild storm on the sea ~ all because of his rebel spirit. Yeah, for sure, one would really wonder what the worst of the two evils really was? The belly of the fish threatening to digest or the wicked waves that threatened to pull him under for the last time? Ahhh, but His sovereign God knew and because he wanted his attention, He orchestrated it all and in Jonah’s disobedience he had to struggle with not only himself and his bad attitude, his precarious situation and his hardened heart but his neck-deep consequences of sheer rebellion. He kept getting in deeper! His ‘On The Run” caught up with him at God’s command and yet, in God’s mercy and grace, his pit of despair became his transport to safety. Oh, yeah, we may find ourselves in neck- deep in the thick of bad choices and we may find ourselves being swallowed by unpleasant surroundings, but we can always be sure, God has His eye on us and He cares, oh yes, he cares and even in the pit, He’s got you and He desires nothing more than your undivided attention. Jonah couldn’t escape or get away from God or disobey Him without consequence, but he never found himself beyond the reach of God’s grace. Nor do we, not even for a moment in our journey. So ~ On the brink of drowning Jonah prayed for help, for life, and for God’s presence to be renewed in his life and God heard! He rescued him and used him in spite of his hardened heart and his anger.
Know today, that God doesn’t need perfection but just a willingness to be obedient. He desires to snatch you from the jaws of death and pit of despair where you find yourself today. Let Him come to your rescue and be your salvation, and just as He managed Jonah’s situation let Him manage yours!

Watch The Giant Fall


So for today don’t hide behind your fear of failure. Face the challenges as they come and ~ they will come! You can be sure of that. They’ll come in all shapes and sizes, the big and little giants ~ and look you in the eye and defy you but if you walk with the God who’s in control, you walk in His victory because He’s already won and that’s a win, win situation. So beautiful soul ~ don’t succumb to the lie that our enemy would have us believe! You’re not inferior! You’re not defeated! You’re not going down as a failure because persevering in the faith is to hold fast to our ‘Hope in Christ’ through all the challenges! All the difficulties ~ all things that come our way! Great or small He’s got it all and so we move out in confidence to face that giant and little by little watch it fall before our eyes and before the Sovereign One ~ the giver of life and the One who wears the Victor’s crown. He’s got this! In obedience just trust Him!

Deuteronomy 21: 1
“When you go to war against your enemies and see horses and chariots and an army greater than yours, do not be afraid of them, because the LORD your God, who brought you up out of Egypt, will be with you.”

Deuteronomy 21: 3,4
“He shall say: “Hear, O Israel, today you are going into battle against your enemies. Do not be faint-hearted or afraid; do not be terrified or give way to panic before them. For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.”

Forgiven And Free

John 3:17
“For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”

The truth that God loved the world is basic to Christian understanding, and the basis for our salvation (1John 4: 9,10). Most of us have some kind of an idea of a God of love, somewhere out there, yet we choose to ignore the thought. It’s time to face it, acknowledge it and see it for what it really is. It’s unconditional and the vastness of His love has no limit, no boundary and no prerequisite. We can’t earn it, buy it or work for it. It extends beyond all race and nation and yes, even to those who oppose Him. Take a closer look.. Contrary to what unbelievers think, God’s Son came to save those who embrace the darkness, not “condemn” them to judgment. When we live in spiritual darkness we have no desire to come into the enlightenment of Christ but if we see His light of Truth and truly recognize the tragedy of our own situation, we do have a responsibility to believe. Glorious reality check here! Think about it and bask in the hope of it! There will be no judgment for the one who comes into the light of the knowledge of Christ and accepts God’s plan of salvation for his/her life. When you meet Him at the Cross, you are freed from the condemnation and the bondage of your sin and the chains that bind you.

John 8:36, “If the Son therefore shall make you free, you shall be free indeed.” Have you been delivered from your sin? If not? Why not? Deliverance and forgiveness brings deliverance from the penalty and the condemnation and judgment of sin. Christ didn’t come to condemn you but to save you! If you’ve received His salvation, then, my friend, you are free indeed.

Are You In?

So there’s a whole lot of us wondering what’s going to happen next in our crazy, mixed up world. We’ve removed God from our schools and sadly invited the enemy inside when we made such a careless move. We’ve condoned the murdering of babies and called it a mother’s choice. We’ve legalized Sodom and Gomorrah behaviour in our civilized countries and called it human rights, while the normal world that once was able to speak up, now cowers in fear for their safety. Yeah, it’s some kind of serious perplexity that we live in, within our surroundings about now and wonder what’s up and what’s up next. Yeah, it’s time for those who call themselves believers to pray like never before to our Sovereign God, our Creator of the heavens and earth; to our God who knows it all! It’s time to pray earnestly for His powerful hand to move against the god of this world. Remember dear soul, prayer changes things. Prayer to a God who can change hearts, and renew lives will bring revival to a world in need. So you and I and we and us, let’s get moving through prayer. Let’s get the fire of revival spreading powerfully across our lands and through our countries through prayer to a God who is in complete control and will move in judgement against the evil that stalks us and haunts us. We need to be solidly grounded in our faith, so that nothing will shake us nor move us from it in the days ahead. We need an army of believers, believing the Truth. standing on the Truth, claiming and proclaiming the Truth and on the march for it’s power to be heard and seen across our nations. We need an army of believers praying for the Truth to be ignited within souls across our lands. Are you in?

Oh yeah, It has to begin within our own personal, beautiful soul before it can spread to others within our circles of influence. Now is the time to stand on holy ground and pray like we’ve never prayed before! To enter into powerful praise and worship to our Heavenly Father with holy hearts, holy lives and holy hands! It has to be a whole lot of real. We can’t speak for the truth and live a lie ‘cuz that’s ‘make believe’ and that doesn’t cut it on the spiritual battle field. Remember the enemy will not win here! God will move in judgement, so let’s grab the victory shirt and reach the finish line without fear! You are in right? ~k
