When It’s Just All Wrong

So beautiful soul, when your day has taken a left turn and all the right has gone wrong, remember God loves you anyway and He’s not in favor of the wrong but He can bless you through it if you take your hands off and let Him work it out. Even though being thankful isn’t your top priority at the moment it’s your most powerful weapon of warfare. David experienced difficult situations yet he knew God was his strength and His powerful vindicator! He praised God through the hard times and thanked Him for His victory. Let God turn it around for you, even when all right has gone wrong.

Say from your heart with David as he writes in Psalm 30, “I will exalt you, O Lord, for you lifted me out of the depths and did not let my enemies gloat over me. O Lord my God, I called to you for help and you healed me. O Lord, you brought me up from the grave; you spared me from going down into the pit. . . . You turned my wailing into dancing; you have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy, that my heart may sing to you and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give you thanks forever”

In Psalm 30:1-12 David gives thanks to God following an obviously difficult situation. This psalm of thanksgiving not only praises God in the moment but remembers God’s past faithfulness. It is a statement of God’s character, which is so wonderful that praise is the only appropriate response. Find victory today! Enter into His peace today and find rest for your beautiful soul.

God Bless

Restoring The Impossible

Jeremiah 32:17

“Ah, Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.”

Jeremiah was a prophet in Jerusalem before it’s destruction in 586 BC. He suffered continual rejection, imprisonment and physical abuse but he foretold that God would establish a new covenant with His people and this prophecy was fulfilled through Christ. In the tenth year of his reign the Lord spoke to Jeremiah, through Anathoth, his cousin, to purchase a field. According to custom, the deed was placed in a pottery jar for preservation and the Jeremiah, prayed this prayer to His God.

“Ah sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by Your power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.”.

With this purchase he was making an investment in the future that God had promised as well as a declaration of faith in the Lord’s words for the restoration of His people. His prayer was calm, affirming and worshipful and Jeremiah was confident that a difficult situation placed in the sovereign hands of One who fashioned the whole of heaven and earth could and would fulfill His promise.

Are you in need of restoration? A family, a life, a church, a job, a business? What’s in your life that seems impossible to restore? Place it in the potter’s hands for safe keeping and pray as Jeremiah prayed. Let a Sovereign God, who is in control of all things fulfill His promise of restoration. Nothing is too difficult for the creator of life and all things. The Sovereign, all knowing God who made you, is quite capable of sustaining you. He won’t beg to help and He won’t interfere, but He stands ready and waiting for the invite to come along beside and lift you above the circumstances if need be…He’s a God of reconciliation and restoration. Let Him do what He does so well.

Sweet Soul Refreshment

Little Thoughts For Big Days

So when it’s all said and done, sometimes you just can’t undo it and sometimes you don’t have to! It’s really ok because sometimes it just needs to be said and done. So, for today just relax, and sit back to rest in the thought that God’s angels are all about you and all around you and on your every side of life to just be there when the going gets tough and where the rubber meets the road. Yes, you are covered and not one weapon formed against you will succeed. Isaiah 54: 17 reminds us of that in one of my favorite verses ~ that, “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

So, beautiful soul ~ you have a rich heritage in God’s protection. You are clothed in His righteousness and His strength and He will stand with you and for you against any one who rises up against you.  See how strong you are in Christ! Just breathe in deeply and inhale the sweet, grace of God’s love and exhale praise to the God who carries your cares in His sovereign hand of divine protection from the elements of your journey.

Come apart sweet and beautiful soul to a place of quiet solace and refuge, where our sovereign, gracious God serves the refreshment of Living Water to the weary and oppressed. Drink deeply of it and be refreshed in your spirit, and find healing for your soul.

Messed Up World

Little Thoughts For Big Days
Little Thoughts For Big Days

So some days are just messy aren’t they? The whole worlds in a mess and so is yours! You do your best and it’s not good enough. The things you really try to make a difference in just don’t go well at all and instead of having any kind of positive impact for improvement, it’s perceived by most as going the wrong way on a one way street leaving you labelled with no sense at all. What’s up with that, other than you’re the one always in the minority, even when standing for the good? You stand for the right and end up going left and it’s all so disheartening when your only hope caves in on your already depleted emotions, leaving you feeling as dusty as the lonely road you’ve just travelled. Where to from here?

Well, I love David’s words in Psalm 31:19, “How great is your goodness, which You have stored up for those who fear You, which you bestow in the sight of men on those who take refuge in You. In the shelter of your presence you hide them from the intrigues of men; and in your dwelling you keep them safe from the strife of tongues.”

So ~ beautiful soul, take heart and find healing and reprieve in God’s refuge! Yes, even in your messed up world, He has good things in store and provides safety from the weary strife of the day, and the perilous arrows that fly at you from all directions. Yes, God has you and your “Not Good Enough” and your “Just Bad” moments when your right is left and it’s just all wrong. When no one else even cares or tries to understand or get it!

Come apart from the evil of the world and your own messy world and enter into a sweet, peace place ~ a special place designed by God for those who fear Him and stand for the right! There’s no place quite like it for finding a calm assurance that it’s all ok because He’s got it and that your ok because He’s got you and in the place of refuge He tucks hope just for His own! And those are comforting thoughts in a fragile world that seems to be torn apart with evil. Rest beautiful soul in that divine refuge and find the good things from God’s hand.
