Everything For A Reason

Romans 8: 28
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

Is there anything more encouraging or more hope filled that the realization that all things are held together in God’s sovereignty? All things are allowed by Him for our purpose?  Those disappointments are His appointments and those failures and pain, when turned over to Him, in repentance, are sifted, recycled and woven into golden threads for His glory, our benefit and the encouragement of others.  What a brilliant creator and an awesome, divinely skilled, master craftsman we have in our God!!  He creates, He sustains, He maintains!  He saves, He keeps and He satisfies. He sits on the throne of glory conducting our lives, guiding, directing and protecting.  He never sleeps neither does He slumber!  He is our Rock of Salvation, our Fortress, our Great Physician, our Tower Of Refuge, our Bread Of Life and our  Living Water.  He’s is Grace, Mercy  and our Hope of Glory! Without Him we are nothing. He works behind the scenes of our lives to blend, mold, refine, filter and fashion all the details together for our fullness of life.  That’s what He does! I love how He does it!!  Regardless of your situation or your circumstances, He is at work for you!  Thank Him today from a grateful heart for working it out.

Be Blessed today

Confident In Truth And Light

1 John 1:7.

“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.”

One of the first of many instances where John challenges the claims of those who had broken away from apostolic fellowship and were living in darkness. Those who claimed to have fellowship with God, yet didn’t display His character of light. Jesus had warned the Jewish leaders in His day not to let their own beliefs blind them and lead them astray from the Truth Matthew. 6:23. Gnostics claimed to have spiritual experiences and revelations from God, yet rejected fellowship with other believers who knew Christ and walked in the Light of His Truth. Sometimes we are so deceived by our own spiritual illuminations that we think we are so right to the exclusion of everyone else. Sometimes, we can be so right that we’re very, very wrong! When we walk this road we tread on dangerous ground. We run the risk of being deceived by our own belief system. We think we walk in the light but it’s merely our own perceptions and pride that hardens our hearts toward the True Light. A true, healthy faith in the God of our salvation, will result in sweet fellowship with Him and with others, because we have been purified by the cleansing blood of Christ. Light finds light, and finds consolation and confidence in Light. Truth lives boldly but darkness will run and hide when the pressure is on.

Walk in Light and Truth with confidence under God’s sovereign authority. As a Christ One, you’ve been cleansed, renewed, set free, redeemed, transformed and forgiven. You walk in the Light and You have reason to be joyful and spread the good news of the gospel.

Death Has Been Defeated…Are You Victorious?

Galatians 2:20

“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”

Dead to ‘self’/ Alive in Christ. Paul knew the secret of contentment! He knew the secret of living was to die to anything that appeased the flesh and the pride of life. Nothing mattered but the Lord! When Christ transformed Saul, there were huge changes. Christ transformed his entire life where his choices, his desires, his passions, his motives and his vocation all did an about face that changed his destiny. It was a defining moment! A pivotal point! Such irony when a murderer stops brutally taking lives and becomes passionate for the preservation of life and the salvation of souls. It’s a God thing. There is no other power on earth so life changing as the power of the Gospel and the message of love.

Paul became a Christ one and Christ lived in Him to empower him … “To whom God was pleased to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Col. 1:27). It was Christ in him that was his hope for each new day, and it was Christ in him that gave him the power and perseverance to run the race set before him as difficult as it was.

To know Christ is to have His power within. To be empowered by Him. There is no need to run here and there in desperation to find Him because He dwells within. He is a close as a heartbeat! His presence is with us wherever we find ourselves. What a comfort to know He’s there in the hard times and in the difficult moments. He’s there in the rebukes, the heartaches, the criticisms, the disappointments and the discouragements. Friends, it’s this indwelling of His Spirit that gives us the power to live a victorious Christian life on a daily basis. It’s no longer ‘I’ that live but it’s Christ that lives in me. It’s not going to be anything we do, but it will be God in us that empowers us to make it to the finish line and enter glory where we hear Him say, ” Well done, [thou] good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.”

Today, celebrate Christ’s victory over death. He defeated it! Our last and final enemy met it’s match with Christ’s death on the cross and His glorious resurrection. When we accept His salvation, we too are given this victory over death. He not only gives us the passion and the power to die to ‘self’ and live victoriously here, but He gives us the Hope of glory within to spur us on to our heavenly destination where Eternal life awaits when the curtains close on this physical life. Wow!! That’s a reason to rejoice. Are you rejoicing today in Christ’s victory? In your victory?
