Graceful Land

1 Corinthians 15: 20 – 28

“But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. But each in turn: Christ, the first fruits; then, when He comes, those who belong to him. Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death. For He “has put everything under his feet.” Now when it says that “everything” has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ. When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all.”

God, Your plan of salvation for a dying world is awesome, astounding and full of grace and glory. You are brilliant, and even in our greatest thoughts of You, You are greater still. Your thoughts are high and we can not attain unto them or even begin with our finite minds to comprehend all that You have for us. Your merciful plan of reconciliation, and sacrificial love through the death and shed blood of Christ on the cross, unites us and ushers us into Your Holy, Holy, Holy presence. As we enter humbly, before You we know that all is well with our soul, and indeed as Christ died, rose again and now lives to intercede for us, our flesh will die but in this life we live with life abundant and in death we live with life everlasting!! What Hope, What glory, What victory is ours!

If it’s over our head, it’s under God’s feet.

Restoration

Joel 3: 25,26
“The Lord says, “I will give you back what you lost to the swarming locusts, the hopping locusts, the stripping locusts and the cutting locusts;
It was I who sent this great destroying army against you; Once again you will have all the food you want and you will praise the Lord your God who does these miracles for you.”

Joel prophesied in a time of significant drought and locust infestation in the land of Judah. Chapter 1 and the first part of Chapter 2 of Joel, describes God’s judgment in the land and the terrible desolation by the locusts and lack of rain, emblematic of the inner sickness eating away at the hearts of the people. It is a serious call for the people to repent seeking God’s mercy.

Joel 2: verses 18 -20 state God’s promise to them for restoration and refreshment. What has taken your joy? What have you lost? What gnaws away at you? Do you sit in devastation in a feeling of hopelessness because of bad choices or the bad choices made by family members? God is the source of all life-giving rain, the One who sends the rains of righteousness to refresh our dry parched soul, just as He did for the people of Israel. Though we suffer loss because of bad choices and face many difficulties, God is the giver of restoration and fulfillment in life through our sincere repentance and His gift of salvation.

We are lost and sin sick of soul, maybe because we’ve lost our way in the consequences of bad choices or maybe we’ve never come to a saving knowledge of Christ at all. Where ever we find ourselves, God gives us a serious call to repent and seek His mercy. We must come to Him without compromise, seeking His face and divine direction, and watch Him bless and restore! He is the God of miracles. What is it that you need restored?

Christmas Blessings

Christmas Blessing

Luke 2: 11
For unto you is borne this day, in the city of David, a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

At this time let me take opportunity to extend warm wishes to each one of you as you celebrate an awesome, and wonderful Christmas with family, friends or alone with God. Wherever you find yourself today, Don’t ever forget that God is always near and He is your best friend.

Said as only Max Lucado can say it, “The day the babe, Jesus was born, His mother watched over His future from behind a feeding trough, with animals by her side. Royal Majesty filled the heavens, as angels sang the glorious announcement of His birth. Their words echoed “Glory to God in the Highest,” yet God in the Highest was sleeping in a crude, animal stable.”

God LOVES YOU ENOUGH to leave His throne of GRACE so that He can bring JOY and Hope into to your life…SO wherever you find yourself today, don’t ever forget …”Jesus is the reason.”

Christ was born in all humility as a babe in a stable and laid in a feeding trough and through His special birth God became man…just for you, so that you can be united with Him…This, my friend, is reason to CELEBRATE your FAITH… You are blessed with Joy unspeakable.. You are the child of the “King Of Kings” and the Lord of Lords.” He is your Redeemer and your Savior, and your Friend….now you are SEATED AT THE THRONE OF GRACE because HE STOOPED DOWN to EXALT you!

May each one of you have an exceeding, abundant “GRACE” filled Christmas celebration!!!

Be Blessed.

A World Of Slumber – A Baby’s Cry

A World Of Slumber

Luke 2:16-20

“So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.”

The shepherds sought Christ and they found Him. He was lying in a manger, just as the angel had said. Don’t you love how God always stands by His promise. In this day of liars, and deceivers, it gets difficult to discern just what Truth is sometimes but God is Truth and His words have credibility. His plan of redemption for a lost world was lying in a manger that night. A tiny, helpless, wrinkled face baby, yet a King, a Messiah and a Redeemer of God’s people!! Mary didn’t know whether to give Him milk or give Him praise, but she gave Him both. Joseph didn’t know whether to call Him junior or Father, but they called Him Jesus. I’m sure His mom had a lot stories to tell and a lot of things to ponder in her heart to recall with cherished memories over the years to come. The joy of His birth would someday meet the justice and mercy of the cross and mingle with the heart wrenching sorrow of His death. Mary would have to be prepared to face the horrific tragedy of her Son..her Lord and know that somehow it would be o.k. Imagine hearing of His resurrection and victory over death? Any silent doubts in her heart would be quickly banished at such awesome news. Her son, God’s Son had defeated the last and final enemy..that of death, and Jesus, the spotless Lamb of God, her son, had been the perfect sacrifice, and was now to be her Savior, because of His shed blood.

Wouldn’t you love to hear the story of the Birth of Christ directly from His mom? What a thrill it would be to hear first hand of the frightening, yet awesome events of God’s plan of Salvation, through this Son who was born to die.

Again I say, isn’t it great to know, in these days there is someone in whom we can trust and depend? In a world of cults, liars, cheats, deceivers and con artists, isn’t it a relief to know there is Someone you can trust. If God said it, you can count on it, unlike the rhetoric of politicians who promise anybody anything they want to hear to get elected. What God says, God does. God’s plan will not be thwarted by the enemy.

He broke through on that silent night to bring Hope and peace to a slumbering world and today He still brings peace into our hearts and minds as He breaks though our stubborn slumber and our selfish passions of offensive noise in our modern world! In the midst of the people, the cars, the sounds, the smog, the heat, and the pressures, there stand these reminders in God’s word of His deep peace as we celebrate His life. Seek Him and find Him today, just as the shepherds did. Let Him embrace you and forgive you and give you peace. That’s why He came! That’s what He does!
