No News Is Good News


So what’s the news today? What’s hot off the press and just waiting for your attention? Oh I know there’s most likely something that has your focus and just when we think that it’s all ok with one thing something else steps up to the plate and scores a home run with demands of time or finances or health or just some plain old answer to some earth shattering question, doesn’t it? Fact is, there isn’t always time, or money or any just plain old answer to give, not even one last time. Not any more! Not this time! You’ve been totally spent and so has your time, your effort, your finances and your emotions.

Where do you go then? Where do you go when everything has gone and left you reeling in conundrum and chaos with still another glaring issue at the beginning of a new day at the beginning of a new year?

Well, a talk with God is good for starters. Your news hasn’t caught Him off guard! These harsh demands are not ‘news’ to Him. He’s got them for you! He holds them for you! He can orchestrate them perfectly! He knows you inside and outside, right side up and inside out. Yeah, the thing is too, He cares about it all, because He cares about you! You’re the apple of His eye and His delight is in you, even when the “hot off the press” news, pounds in your ears with every heartbeat, He still cares! So when the “Just fixed’ breaks once more, or the resolved issue cracks open yet again, just find some quiet place in some quiet space and hear God out! Let Him speak into your anguished heart and beautiful soul about your latest news! He understands perfectly the next step and is eager to share with you, His loved creation.

David voices so beautifully the reasons why all people should praise and revere God for His almighty power and merciful care, when he pens Psalm 65 and in 65: 1 he writes, “What mighty praise O God belongs to You in Zion…4: What joy for those You choose to bring near, those who live in your holy courts. What festivities await us inside your holy Temple. 7: You quieted the raging ocean, with their pounding waves and silenced the shouting of the nation…for where the sun rises and where it sets, You inspire shouts of joy.”

So when “No news is good news” is met with that dreadful “Not so good news”, let Him calm your pounding heart and silence your fears. When you’re there with Him in that quiet place ~ that holy place ~ that holy Temple of your heart and soul, join Him in the festivities of the moment as He speaks peace and love and joy into your news.

God’s Peace Gift


God’s peace is His extravagant gift and our sweet blessing! To experience it is to experience a calm, serene mind and joyful heart in the face of adversity and as His children, it’s our right and our authority to step into it and claim it. Peace is our victory in the difficult, our stability in the storm, our hope against the thick walls of impossible and our hug from God that all is well. Peace in our heart and soul will ward off the enemy quicker than any other weapon of warfare, simply because it takes the pressure off of fear. It removes our desire to control, to fight, to worry, to counter attack and get the last word. Peace is a peaceful mind even in the hard places. It allows grace to all ~ to either change or not to change! Peace takes our hands off the control and allows our Sovereign God to reign and manage and heal and repair. He does the work and we just step into His peace while He does it. Peace ~ such a blessing, and such a gift. Beautiful soul, step into it and walk in it as we progress along in this new year.

Beautifully Broken


Hey, beautiful one it’s a fragile world and we’re pretty breakable in it’s crazy chaos and confusion. The fears are real and the worries such obstacles in our journey. Sometimes we just feel really cracked, and bruised and beaten and battered and just plain broken. But, you gotta know that’s ok because for all the broken there’s healing, and mending and repair and yeah, although frozen, cracked bubbles can’t be fixed, souls really can be and are, because through the eyes of Jesus we are perfected in our faith and in our walk! Oh what a delight to know this One who fixes and forgives our fault lines and heals and seals our broken, to give new life and a new beginning.. Oh yeah, Broken is beautiful through the eyes of Jesus, and so “you” are! ❤

Advent In Your Heart


So it’s a beautiful, Advent season with peace and joy and happiness oozing in all directions and wonderful things are going down all over the world and in yours right? Not!!!!

It’s a crazy, mixed up world and yours is too and peace is the laughing stalk of the town right now! How is it that we’re to have peace when the world’s in chaos and the countries are at war and the bombs are dropping and the refugees are fleeing and ISIS is taking and lives are being sacrificed and there’s no respect for anything or anyone anymore?

So ~ government laws are passed that are way out of Biblical bounds and have far reaching and detrimental impact on future generations, and we’re suppose to be ok with that? Yeah, it’s a crazy world and the governments are oh so powerful but oh so weak! So ironic isn’t it?

Advent

But come now again to Bethlehem! See the babe lying quietly in the manger. Look at Him! See for yourself! Our joy doesn’t lie in our governments and in our world leadership. Our peace doesn’t come from all that goes on around us, not even for a second. Our joy doesn’t lie in our happiness! It’s deeper than that. It’s stronger than that and it’s more accessible than anything this world can offer. As Christ ones, a Savior was born to us on that night long ago, under a Bethlehem star, so bright it lit up the world to make the heavenly announcement of the birth of “Peace”, the Prince of Peace, the Eternal Father, The Counselor, God’s son. Oh yeah, He’s our peace at this glorious Advent season. Our peace in the midst of heartache, sorrow, panic and fear. He’s our joy when happiness goes South and everything that can go wrong does. Our Lord and our King carries the weight of the world on His shoulders and the governments are under His rule and His reign. Nothing will go down that He doesn’t order! You can know that! In spite of nasty world events and a world turned topsy tur-vy and bad laws being passed and bad news everywhere in a crazy, mixed up world, we have a winner ruling our lives and giving counsel for abundant living through all the ragged edges!

So, come now to a glorious, peaceful and joyous Advent season! It’s in your own heart! That’s where you’ll find it. Even when the world is reeling in anguish and joy is non existent, our beautiful souls can praise the God of our Salvation and sing “Joy To The World” to a world that has none and needs lots. Oh how marvelous are His works and how wonderful are His ways. ~k

“For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace, On the throne of David and over his kingdom, To establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness From then on and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will accomplish this.”
