Saturate in the generous Grace that He gives us so daily!
So on this day between the Christmas journey and the New Year walk just go deeper with the Saviour. Oh don’t we need so much more of Him on these hard days? Rest In Him now! Soak in His grace. Let it saturate your mind and your heart as its presence allows even your existence on another new day. The day ahead, is really all about Him, not us. So the pain and the pressure, He’s got all that and It’s all about what He’s going do with you and for you and how His blessing will bless you to bless others. So just rest for a bit and don’t leave home until you know that you know His grace has reached to the very core of your being and you are in His gentle care and His protection is over you. Nothing and no one can come against you when He’s there with you.
On the eve of Christmas eve when the snow stopped and the sun shone!

No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord.
Imagine night shift on a quiet hillside tending sheep! Day after day, night after night might take on the resemblance of being in a “rut.” Maybe ho hum, maybe boring, maybe sometimes a little frightening fighting off wild animals. Now imagine suddenly the quietness breaks when out of nowhere an angel appears radiant in God’s glorious light to announce news of a Savior’s birth. Surround sound and real life media follow as God Himself illuminates the sky with a multitude of angels, singing and praising God!
A night of the same old , same old, transformed into majestic celebration. The lowly shepherds were given a sign that the Light of the World had come. God broke through their darkness with light and brought Hope. Have you life without meaning? Frightened, Feeling lost, bored, in a rut? God sent The Savior, the Light of The World just to light your dark path and bring you into life everlasting. Trust Him! Let Him light your way. Let Him illuminate your life.
Luke 2:8-11
” And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be to all people.”

So it’s a beautiful, Advent season with peace and joy and happiness oozing in all directions and wonderful things are going down all over the world and in yours right? Not!!!!
It’s a crazy, mixed up world and yours is too and peace is the laughing stalk of the town right now! How is it that we’re to have peace when the world’s in chaos and the countries are at war and the bombs are dropping and the refugees are fleeing and ISIS is taking and lives are being sacrificed and there’s no respect for anything or anyone anymore?
So ~ government laws are passed that are way out of Biblical bounds and have far reaching and detrimental impact on future generations, and we’re suppose to be ok with that? Yeah, it’s a crazy world and the governments are oh so powerful but oh so weak! So ironic isn’t it? Advent
But come now again to Bethlehem! See the babe lying quietly in the manger. Look at Him! See for yourself! Our joy doesn’t lie in our governments and in our world leadership. Our peace doesn’t come from all that goes on around us, not even for a second. Our joy doesn’t lie in our happiness! It’s deeper than that. It’s stronger than that and it’s more accessible than anything this world can offer. As Christ ones, a Savior was born to us on that night long ago, under a Bethlehem star, so bright it lit up the world to make the heavenly announcement of the birth of “Peace”, the Prince of Peace, the Eternal Father, The Counselor, God’s son. Oh yeah, He’s our peace at this glorious Advent season. Our peace in the midst of heartache, sorrow, panic and fear. He’s our joy when happiness goes South and everything that can go wrong does. Our Lord and our King carries the weight of the world on His shoulders and the governments are under His rule and His reign. Nothing will go down that He doesn’t order! You can know that! In spite of nasty world events and a world turned topsy tur-vy and bad laws being passed and bad news everywhere in a crazy, mixed up world, we have a winner ruling our lives and giving counsel for abundant living through all the ragged edges!
So, come now to a glorious, peaceful and joyous Advent season! It’s in your own heart! That’s where you’ll find it. Even when the world is reeling in anguish and joy is non existent, our beautiful souls can praise the God of our Salvation and sing “Joy To The World” to a world that has none and needs lots. Oh how marvelous are His works and how wonderful are His ways. ~k
Isaiah 9: 6,7
“For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace, On the throne of David and over his kingdom, To establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness From then on and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will accomplish this.”
Sometimes all it takes is just one little, kind thing or fun thing to make someone smile. There’s a lot of hope that needs to be restored in a whole lot of lives, maybe even by just one kind word in a crazy, mixed up world. Ask for God’s guidance today to find the one right person to give the one right word, or to be kind in just the right way! To give the one, last little thing for the last spot in an empty heart just to top it off in a beautifully, fun way.
Yeah, ‘Tis the season of Advent! The time to give, not to get, the time to restore not to tear down, the time to bring smiles not tears, the time to bring hope not despair. ❤
