Oh My Soul

Sara has just recently published a book telling of her journey through the hard places of an eating disorder. Sara had lost her identity but found it again when she found her Saviour and made Him Lord of her life. She nows walks with renewed confidence and a deep faith in her Lord.

Back To Being Sara

It’s 1:25 a.m. I’m wide awake.

I stare at the clock, watching the minutes pass by. Minutes turn into hours, hours turn into my worst nightmare. How did I get here? I was supposed to be asleep by now.

My body craves rest. My soul longs for peace. My mind races as full speed. Where is it going? It’s taking me places I never intended to be.

All I wanted to do was sleep, but I’ve got to deal with all of these “late night thoughts.”

I never liked late night thoughts. I feel as though I’ve been robbed of the sweet rest Jesus promise’s those who come to Him. “Come to Meall you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Mathew 11:28).

Jesus, I just need Your promised rest. I just need You.

You are always faithful.

I will choose to trust…
